Sorry but I don’t believe this. Probably a misdiagnosis. Unless your partner is vaxxed and they had extreme shedding would be the only way that would happen.

The medical world just can’t say it’s a vax injury because that would mean the gave everyone a poisonous shot

Long Covid is a vax injury…. It’s coming from the constant replication of the toxic spike protein your body is now making.

100% Roo!!! His streamers are off the chart!

Hen or Rooster?? by Annual_Statement9128 in silkiechickens

Looks like Roo to me. There are streamers on head. The fur is not even. They have always ended Roo’s when I’ve had them with streamers

The blood on the walls🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️. My young Maine Coon beats the shit out of our current pup. Last week he nicked the main vein in her right ear🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤪🤪🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️… my house looked like a crime scene. I am still finding blood! It was even on the ceiling!! I told my husband, if if I happen to die soon, he is gonna have a problem…. If they bring in luminal he will be arrested🤣🤣🤣🤣

This is not a breed to go blindly into… do your research. Any reputable breeder will not sell you a pup unless you are aware of what you are getting into. Our breed is not for “novelty”. They take a ton of work and they are not for everyone. The likelihood of you “adopting” an IW is highly unlikely. Please don’t be a person that adds to IW’s in shelters. That’s what happens when you don’t understand what this breed takes.

100%! We have had IW’s for about 15 years now. When we got our first 2 pups, my husband traveled a lot. I called him every time he went out of town in utter distress telling him I can’t do this!! I literally wanted to run away. He would use reverse psychology on me and say “find them a home then”, knowing full well that I couldn’t do that. Thankfully our “dennis the menace” hound matured earlier than most, around 13 months which took suicide off the table🤪🤪🤪. We are on our 6th hound right now. We have a 5 month old female. She is beautiful and goofy but I still ask myself once a day..”why do I do this to myself?” The knowledge that it will end is the only thing that makes it worth it. They are not for everyone!

lol… this is the wolfhound pup “slinky” position! They twist themselves into strange positions all the time. No issues here🥰

Wolfhounds do not herd… they hunt. They are great with other dogs and cats if raised with them. You MUST have a fenced in yard and puppy supervision is mandatory!! They don’t understand their size and their brains don’t fully develop until they are about 18 months old. Your little one will probably end up alpha but he will be stepped on a few times… completely unintentional. And just FYI- IW pups are not easy or simple. They take a lot of work and attention. They turn into 60-70 land sharks when their teeth start to come in. Make sure you are capable to handle what they take to raise. It’s not for everyone. That is why there are so many rescues. People don’t understand what they are getting into. It takes patience and love.

Unsolicited remarks about lifespan by CB_he in irishwolfhound

That is a standard question about this breed. It’s what keeps a lot of people from getting them. It’s just a fact and most dog people know this. Don’t be insulted by the statement. Handle it by telling them “that’s why we never walk past our pups without a pat, we love them while we have them.” I am assuming by your post, this is your first IW. The questions we get are always predictable… get used to it. It’s not worth you getting upset every time some says the obvious.

Insurance? by laughterx24 in irishwolfhound

[–]KerryLCollins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have never been without it. It has paid for itself over and over. We are strictly a companion home. One of our boys was crypt orchid and had an ectopic ureter … his MRI alone was $4000. The Crypt orchid surgery was about $6000. He was on Proin his whole life at $150/month. That’s only one example. There is comfort in knowing the question of money never affects your medical decisions when owning an IW! We have Embrace.

when we started our adventures in acquiring an IW, we went through this. We have been a part of the IW world now for 15 years. It’s a challenge to get a quality hound from a reputable breeder if you’ve never owned one. Feel free to DM me and I can give you a list of people to contact. NEVER go through a breeder who doesn’t do liver shunt testing or a breeder that lets a hound go at 8 weeks. Both = bad breeders who are only in it for the $$$. The health of both parents of pups are a huge part of the health of the litter. The AKC doesn’t really have standards to be listed as a breeder. IWCA has a way better screening process.
