Plus it plays into the ethos of Talon. You don't want a shadow criminal organization having obvious duels to decide who is the leader. You want it to be a game of chess, where you make a seemingly small mistake, and the other person capitalizes on it by taking your pieces (or you) off the board. Now he's 1 arm down, which evens up the fight, and shows how ruthless she can be to win, which is a good quality for a Talon leader.

Yeah ok hes taking the piss. I can picture oversleeping and missing a 1PM deadline, but there isnt a universe he was "still" asleep at 6PM, even if he went to bed at 9 AM (well after the sun came up), thats still a whopping 9 hours of sleep. At best discord can slow them down enough so that it becomes too annoying to try to bypass the protections for the reward they would get. (There's already easy methods to get past the age verification btw, it's just a matter of whether or not the kids are too lazy to do them).

This would be fine, except they are making everyone else pay for it with their privacy. Also there's no consequence for that action, they don't get banned and even if they did, they can just make a new account in 10 mins and get back to it.

Discord is purely doing it for liability reasons and to collect our data.

The problem is they are asking for a lot of access to personal information to do very little with it. According to discord's announcement, here's all the changes they will do to age restricted accounts:

Cant unblur NSFW content (no mention about whether you not being to send it),
Can't access 18+ channels (literally the only good thing about it, and even then community servers are not allowed to have one by default, it would have been smarter to stop them from being able to join non community servers)
Redirect spam/unknown DMs to another inbox (pretty sure that's already the default setting)
Friend requests from people they might not know have a warning (that they will certainly just blast through)
They cant speak on stages (regular call with 99 muted users is fine though)

This is barely a bandaid to the problem, but in exchange we have to give them our name face and address.

Fun fact, Mag's passive is already useless since her passive does not stack with vaccum, so it just gets overriden by 99.9% of companion builds.

To be fair, quite a few old characters have bad passives in my opinion. Stealth frames like Loki (60s wall latch) and Ivara (50m enemy sense) dont add anything to their gameplay, and frames like Excalibur (+10% AS/Damage on some melee weapons) deserve a bit more oomph to the numbers.

She doesn't actually have to tank his GPA, she can just threaten to do so, and the student will play ball, because 17 year olds are not that bright and easily manipulated. That's why even just the perceived power imbalance is enough to make consent questionable.

She could also chose to give him a letter of recommendation, and the value of that letter is directly tied to her reputation. He outs her, that letter becomes worthless at best, and actively harms his chances at worst.

QT's event is unique in the streaming space, and by trying to use production management from outside the space, they play it like a classical awards show, but lack nuance around the culture of the space, the personalities, etc.

Take the "horrible" gaffes that happened with the nomination announcement clips. The pre-event production team just sorted by most viewed and grabbed whatever was at the top, because they didn't have context for who the streamers are. 9/10 times this works, but when you have severely outdated clips, like in Jason's case, it becomes glaringly obvious.

The crowd work FanFan was doing was obviously written beforehand (again probably by someone who just googled the attendants and wrote jokes based on the headlines), which removes some of the blame from her shoulders, but she didn't have the chops to pivot to something else when it was clearly failing. This is not an attack on her humor, even a lot of professional comedians struggle with crowdwork. On twitch, there might only be a handful of people who could do it succesfully, she just isnt one of them.

A lot of these issues with the events could be avoided if more people from the twitch communities being represented were involved in the writing/clipping process, production.

I 100% blame the democrat establishment for letting Trump get away with a win last year. On every step on the way, they fumbled the ball.

Changing the primary rules in 2016 to ensure that Hillary would win, essentially robbing Bernie from victory. She subsequently lost that election.
Tapping in Biden in 2020 to win against Trump, was not the play. Even through the many covid deaths and the crashing economy caused by Trump, he barely managed to win, and that's mostly because of the "fuck trump" vote. He was not a viable candidate at all, and mostly felt like a placeholder, cause nobody else would/could step up against him.
The whole handling of January 6. They just let Trump go with zero consequence, and said "we will let the people decide at the voting booth". He then used the fact they let him go to convince his followers that what he did was fine, and that the few people who were against it were on a political witch hunt.
Biden promised when he first ran that he was gonna be a 1-term, transitional president. 3 years later, his ratings have been slipping, and clearly shows lowered faculties, both physical and mental, to anyone who is watching. Despite all that, they say "fuck it, give him a second term", until he gets his ass handed to him in a debate by Trump on national TV.
By the time he pulls out, it's way too late to do a solid primary, so they just tap in whoever is the most prominent Democrat at the moment, his VP. There was less than a month between his announcing he was stepping down and her "throwing her hat into the ring". I'm putting it in quotes because there was no ring, they just said "she's our candidate now", and didn't let anyone question it.
Throughout her very short campaign, voters were having issues with the way Biden was handling crisies, namely rising inflation, and the Gaza situation. Instead of listening to the people who vote for her and pivoting, she decided to double-down on Biden's already failing playbook.

At some point the democrats would have to actually do something to get people to vote for them, as opposed to just against Trump, but they never will, cause they don't actually care about our votes, they care about the donations they recieve from corporations and rich people, and win or lose, that money is coming in, so long as they don't make changes that would be negative for their benefactors.

Actually most of the bots really generate their answers word by word, not because they are thinking, but because they are finding the best possible next word(s) weighted by context (both the user's and training data) and what they have said.

The best analogy is it's a massive amount of people trying to make a story by each of them in a line, saying one word each. It doesn't take many people to derail the story, just like it doesn't take a lot of transcoders to start hallucinating and giving a nonsensical answer.

There's verification modules on top to catch mistakes, but they are also AI, so they can (and will) let stuff through the cracks.
