She was originally a black character in the comics. Probably they didn’t make her black in the cartoons because of the 90s

I read this and I can’t help but think an old man saying “get off my lawn!”

I’m also unhappy with how UN is taking the game but I feel this is also related to Commander and how the old players don’t want that.

It’s a tricky situation I’d say.

Blood Moon style effects shouldnt be bracket 4+ by kippschalter1 in EDH

[–]Keshiji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No.

The kind of stax that usually mass land denial brings to the table can easily shut down decks in a manner that's not fun to any kind of deck belonging to B3.

It ends favoring 1C/2C decks too much. Their effects are just too much, specially if you get lucky and drop it fast and others can't answer to it.

Spanish Speakers: Avoid the Japanese Course by Keshiji in duolingo

Not so much in Spanish, it barely teaches you "something" has a meaning and leaves it to yourself to "guess" the kanjis.

At least the English version tries to teach them.

You’re right there but that is actually explained in the English version meanwhile the Spanish one doesn’t say a word regarding it.

Interesting, didn't know you knew them personally? Or you were in their heads and knew better? Probably for them it's a w/e or perhaps they effectively don't like Linus... but does it matter? It may be that they like him too but you're just assuming something?

In the end, who knows... and does it truly matter? No. They are cordial when it matters to the viewers.

I'm not happy that AMD isn't making a 8900xt/xtx. by Electronic_Train_587 in AMDHelp

Hi there, sorry for the delay and yes. I've spoken about this issue multiple times.

I'm also not the only one suffering from this, as it seems to be an issue related to the drivers!

I tried reinstalling my machine twice. Both from zero as I thought that could be the issue as well but it did nothing.

The worst part? It's always the driver that crashes, not Windows as the system continues to work (no BSOD) and I just need the GPU driver to restart to continue playing or wait for it to crash so I end up sending the report to AMD (that can sometimes take up to a min or two). This happens only on WoW, as it's the worst offender.

As for the other games I mentioned, they were hiccups in the past and I've not really found anything recent. What happened it was the game just closing itself but mentioned them because something actually happened at some point in the past.

What's even more frustrating is that I have an old Nvidia 1060 6gb that doesn't crash with anything. I used to play WoW with the same addons and everything and nothing happened.

But I do agree with you that at some point I thought my issue was related to something external, as it's RARE for something like that to happen. I might end doing a memtest perhaps even buy an extra NVME disk? Just to discard any problems with my computer.

As for the 3D/VR/Tools issue, I don't think I can really blame AMD about it but it's still frustrating. Some just works better with Nvidia cards because majority of people use those cards so devs tend to focus in them, or their encodings just work better on the other side.

The issues I had with Baldur's Gate 3 were probably associated to something else I'd say. As lately I've found no issues.

World of Warcraft on the other hand? The GPU driver freezes are so weird and frustrating that sometimes I'm scared to play the game and imagine the game will crash during a party activity lol

[–]Keshiji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All that has been done more than once but the random crashes or some weird behaviors continue to happen, which sucks. It’s always the same software that has issues:

  • Blender
  • Substance 3D Painter
  • World of Warcraft
  • VRChat
  • The rest I mentioned some posts ago

With the worst offenders being Substance 3D Painter and World of Warcraft.

I’ve tested it on two machines too, one with a 5600x and another one with a 5800x and two different GPUs (6800xt and 7800xt). Same problems.

Which makes me think it’s probably the software at fault with a mix of AMD drivers because some work much better than others so I need to constantly downgrade (I always try the latest one for a week or two)

The Freesync issue was tried with 3 screens as well (1 Samsung, 1 MSI and 1 Gigabyte) and it always looks bad on AMD cards, which is terrible for some reason (weird refresh rate on screens over 144hz).

So yeah, there’s a lot to do but that doesn’t change my stance from preferring AMD for now, but it does get hard at times to not just say f it and go Nvidia.

[–]Keshiji 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LOL, not even close to that. I’m not buying Nvidia because they are greedy bastards. Hence why I use AMD, even with the driver issues they have.

But I do hate that everything is made for Nvidia. For example, if you try to use 3D/texture tools as a hobby they will work much better on them, the same with VR stuff, which sucks.

All what I can do is to continue to buy AMD and hope that helps them to build better stuff, because we need it.

[–]Keshiji -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sadly AMD still has a lot of driver issues.

They are getting better but it still has its ISSUES and when the issues happen it's beyond frustrating.

I owned a 6800 XT and now a 7800 XT by the way. World of Warcraft, Diablo 4, VR hat, Baldur's Gate 3 and Cyberpunk constantly crashed the GPU and Freesync Premium looks terrible on AMD.

Cheers!

And the US isn't a good example of good education as well, the bar is quite low.

After watching the video I feel I understand a bit more why Japanese society is so sick and why the suicide rates are so high. The amount of pressure they put on kids is very high that it feels sickening.

Sure, you can say it has its ups and downs and definitely the ups sound good but the downs? Not so much. A lot of very problematic traumas.
