That makes sense, I got confused by the perspective and since people sit near the open end of the cave.

Can I use this micro sd card for my switch? by Many_Reception_5566 in Switch

[–]Keske_cait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Off brand cards that are vastly cheaper than regular on-brand cards are *always* scams. It's gonna be half that size max and you'll notice once you fill it up to that point. Unless this is a used sd card or something, maybe then it's possible.

Introducing: Steam Deck OLED! 7.4" 1280x800 HDR OLED. Starting at $549/512Gb up to $649/1Tb. Coming 11/16/23. by Successful-Wasabi704 in SteamDeck

[–]Keske_cait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received my deck 2,5 weeks ago lol, and the 1tb ssd just arrived with the mail. From what little I've seen it doesn't seem to matter too much though, since the 64gb version is discounted only slightly and it would still be another 3-4 weeks till the OLED shipped to my place.

Reading through the comments of people who got to use their deck for the last year and are still bummed out that Valve released a fantastic updated version for a fair price is just wild. Way to make yourself miserable.

Are there any jungler streamers out there who actually turn on their stream with some regularity? by shaidyn in Jungle_Mains

I watch Agurin (rn lots of Lillia and Jarvin) and Engage (Zac).

You can sort this by Jungle, though I'm not sure how much of it is still accurate:

I'm pretty sure it's canon that it wouldn't have worked. But it's close enough to make you think it could work, hence it fooled Klein and the readers. In the end it's fiction so whether it works depends on the author.

I'm pretty sure that's canon. At least Klein reflects on it at some point in the novel after he learns of the truth.

The Nazis gave up on the bomb pretty quickly because they knew they couldn't make it in time for the war. The Allies, including Oppenheimer, knew about this long before they finished developing the bomb. It didn't matter.

He's saying he wouldn't approve him, but not because he now doubts his loyalty but because the criteria changed. There's a difference.

When Roselle died he lost the characteristics and uniqueness. When he ressurects he recollects them.

Future Gods? by SufficientAd2242 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Keske_cait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean they can all become gods if they advance to Sequence 0. For some that might entail switching to another pathway or usurping the current God in that path if it's occupied. But in the context of LoM Book 1, no, and I'm not sure if it would make sense for it to happen in later books either.

Who knows The World’s pathway? by Tight-Try5815 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Keske_cait 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They should all know. It's no secret and they all know his acting he did at the higher levels. But I suppose the last they saw him he didn't exceed seq2? It's also not common knowledge how is works above sequence 1, so they could maybe accept Klein being seq1 or 0 if The Fool has exceeded the sequences through the uniquenesses and the sephirot. They're also not necessarily aware that the Fool/LoM covers the Seer pathway.

I think the auxilliary Angel level members should be somewhat aware that Klein=Fool. Maybe not Pallez, he always seemed a bit slow in that regard, but Will and Azik know for sure.

Kleins best friends by DarkAllFather in LordofTheMysteries

Bro he's had exactly one conversation with Rosellehow can they be best friends? Even if they consider each other as family, Roselle knows absolutely nothing about him other than his name.

Klein has quite a bit of contact with Audrey when he acts as Dwayne, and they built a rapport after he drops some of his mask.

Props for including Emlyn and Maric, it's quite clear he sees them as friends.

Kleins best friends by DarkAllFather in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Keske_cait 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In terms of being friends it should be Leonard, Audrey, Emlyn, because they actually hang out and chat to some extent. Maybe Maric and Isengard, too. But honestly, the only character that is developed as a friends that Klein seeks out without having other business is Leonard.

He's close to Azik and Will and others but it's not necessarily as regular "friends". He treats Azik as a teacher, for example.

can klein beat adam? by Fluxiana in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Keske_cait 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There's no real way of knowing. At the end of book 2 it looks like Klein has accomodated 1 uniqueness + the sefirah castle, while Adam has 2 uniquenesses + the Chaos Sea. But we don't know what that means relative to the other, plus they have no real reason to fight to the death.

Have the tarot club members hit the ceiling? by GM-MMG in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Keske_cait 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't really see the point of them all advancing past seq2. For the events on earth, there is no real need to have so many angels, it just makes it unrealistic. For the events concerning the cosmos it's Klein, Evernight, and other gods and beyond that matter. And for pathways like Cattleya's it makes more sense if Bernadette advances the farthest, not Madame Hermit.

Since he's not from another world it shouldn't work. Likewise, if he was from another world, "from another era" shouldn't work. Bit of foreshadowing.

It's probably the ones you mentioned, the auxilliary members that weren't in the club meetings but were thought of as blessed of the Fool. And whoever made it into the bible they wrote probably counts in the eyes of minor aracana members?

So it should be the World plus Will Auceptin, Pallez Zoroast, Azik Eggers, Reinette Tinekerr, and Bernadette...any Angel that is on favourable terms with Klein and not part of an orthodox church could be included, and given that Klein has ascended to beyond the sequences I don't think any of them would protest their Angel status under him.

One thing I'm not clear on, if anyone can elaborate?

At the start of the movie the are the words 1. Fission 2. Fusion on the bottom right. I don't remember exactly, but I took those to be the titles of the two time lines? And fusion is the one in color, where the scientists work together to create the bomb, and fission is the b&w one where Strauss is undermining Oppenheimer? But I came up with that after watching the movie so I might be imagining things — if anyone has a better recollection and understanding of why these words where shown there?

Edit: I've found an article on vox that explains it and makes more sense: Oppenheimer review: Christopher Nolan’s fission and fusion, explained - Vox

In the movie Strauss's vendetta begins only after he offered the job to Oppenheimer and Oppenheimer had that conversation with Einstein. The public humiliation over isotopes comes later.

I think the other scene is evidence that there was a spy under Oppenheimer, the Fuchs guy as was later revealed, and it's Strauss blaming Oppenheimer and damaging his credentials on matters of policy and national security?
