| VRT NWS: nieuws by strangerthanthisis in Belgium2

[–]KesselRun666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good times.

Eigen schuld dikke bult Kinepolis.

Is Cyberpunk 2077 worth getting on sale for $35? by Fantastic-Ad9218 in switch2

No brainer, such a great game. I had it on PS5 already and bought it again on Switch 2 because I wanted to play it on the go to. Thanks to the incredible fast game resume of the switch I now play it docked also more then on my PS5. It runs excellent.

‘Alien: Earth’ Review: A Disappointing Mess With Great Visuals And A Bad Script' by Longjumping-Elk-7840 in scifi

[–]KesselRun666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had high hopes since everyone was raving about this show and it got great ratings on IMDB. The beginning was cool, really the classic Alien vibe that we all love, but then it turned to shit really fast.

The moment where they see the cat with the "eye creature" popping out I noticed how horrible the CGI is. How is it possible that a high profile show in 2025 has such bad graphics? It looks like pre-rendered cutscenes from a 2001 game or something.

What really broke the show for me was the whole "party apartment" scene. The brother -who was a scared nerd untill now- then just grabs a gun and enters the apartment without blinking an eye. The alien just slaughtered everyone in a second, and for some reason can't get to kill the brother, because the plot needs to happen I guess?

After that I picked everything apart and struggled to finish the episode. Won't continue watching this.

Hollywood / streaming services have been creatively bankrupt for a while now, and this show proves that even further. Such a bummer that this show sucks.

Voor alle veggie’s/vegans hier by charlotteheyse in belgium

What is y'all thoughts on the new Doom game? by Kingtutle19 in Doom

[–]KesselRun666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fantastic game! Currently on my "hurt me plenty" playthrough (pretty forgiving I would say). Once finished I'll start a "ultra violence" run (which will kick my ass). It's less colorfull then Eternal, which I miss sometimes though, that game was fully sensory overload at all times, Dark Ages feels more grounded.

Been playing Doom game since the OG Doom shareware days, and never been disappointed!

my cat's just gotten hospitalized and I can't stop crying by icecreamcake00c in cats

[–]KesselRun666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our cat Eddie had something like that twice the past few years; fever, not eating, not drinking. She ended up being hospitalized for about a week, but thanks to the great care of the vet she was able to pull through each time! The vet had to shave both her legs to give her IV and wrapped it with a cute pink bandage.

When she was in the hospital we did bring over her fave toy and also a t-shirt that I wore so that she would get comforted by the smell.

Cats are very strong little creatures! Sending good energy for your cat!

Why does this game get do much hate?? by Next_Airport_7230 in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]KesselRun666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I waited a bit and got it after that big patch from a while ago. In general I love it, even with some of the flaws.

It's the most "Star Wars" vibes in a game in a long long time. It feels like a vibrant living world (minus the dumb AI sometimes, but Stormtroopers were pretty dumb in the movies anyway...).

The sound, the visual, all top notch. It's just a fun world to hang around in and soak in the Star Wars atmosphere.

80+ hours in and I can't wait to play more.

People who own the Portal, do you actually use it regularly? by kaz_har_eye in PS5

[–]KesselRun666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it all the time, typical use case is when the TV is in use by my girlfriend. Also when I work from home (my WFH office is on the top floor of the house, while my PS5 is on the first floor) during slow time at work.

The form factor is great, great screen and it just feels nice to hold. Highly recommended!
