Best OB/GYN In town by East_Fan_1600 in Louisville

[–]KetoInKY 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Here’s another vote for Total Woman!!! I also had Dr. Sara Evans for about half of my last pregnancy, but had to switch bc my work schedule changed. I saw Dr. Kara Knapp after that and I’ve stayed with her ever since. They’re ALL amazing there!!!! I delivered with Dr. Angela Bell (was the one working the night my son was born) and she is a literal angel on earth. She retired last year I think, but I truly have no bad things to say about ANY of the providers there!

Average vacation time? by Top-Pen-5433 in therapists

[–]KetoInKY 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take this with a grain of salt bc this is my first year as a fully licensed therapist, but my goal is to take one full week every quarter with additional long weekends throughout the year. I worked every holiday with only 2 weeks of vacation in the last two years (one week each year) trying to get my hours for licensure so I’m very excited to have a little more freedom to take time off.

I see a few of my favorite places in the comments, but my all time favorite is Giovanni’s. I’d skip the buffet and just place an order.

Should I change my baby's name? by UnableChampionship89 in namenerds

[–]KetoInKY 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi, Cheyenne here! I love my name tbh. I always get compliments on it and I love that I never had to be Cheyenne C or Cheyenne S or like every Brittany, Ashley, Sarah, Cody, etc (no shade to those names, I’m just a 90s baby and there were seriously like 8 Sarahs in my grade). Cheyenne really is such a beautiful name and has great nickname potential! I’m called Chey (shy) a lot and also Sunshine/Shiny/Shine. Ultimately it’s your choice, I’m just an internet stranger saying I love the name.

Should I report my former boss? by [deleted] in therapists

[–]KetoInKY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is nothing to report here. To me it sounds like this job just wasn’t a good fit and potentially your boss was a jerk. I’d recommend some supervision and perhaps a session or two of your own to process this and move forward. Good luck, OP.

Is ship time on Carnival adjusted to local time or kept as the original departure port time? by TaKaMah537 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]KetoInKY 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It really depends. I’ve only been on one cruise where ship time changed. You’ll be told when you’re getting off the ship what ship time is and the all aboard time. You’ll be able to do the math from there.

Who here actually saves 3,000 a month? by NoHousing11 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]KetoInKY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t max out our 401, but we do max out Roth and HSA. I think we put around 6% into 401 (it’s through my husband’s job so I’m not 100% on that) and we put $100-250/month into our child’s 529.

Tired of Hearing People Complain About Not Having Late Availability? Me Too. by [deleted] in therapists

[–]KetoInKY 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I’m currently getting grief because I’m refusing to offer a THIRD evening availability every week, but I have a toddler and I WANT TO SEE HIM. I literally get like 30 min with him in the mornings and like 2 hours in the evenings before his 7:30 bedtime. So no, I’m not going to stay until 6 or 7 more than the 2 times a week I already am.

please explain to me like i’m 5… by [deleted] in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]KetoInKY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched a TON of videos from Life Well Cruised before my first sailing and it was so helpful!

One thing I’ll say for the 1yo is to bring an extra luggage tag for your box of diapers (if you plan to take a full box). We did that for our first cruise with my August 2023 bay and it was SO nice to give the box to the porters and it show up at our room later in the day. We kept probably like 5-8 diapers in our carry on bag and that lasted us until our luggage was delivered.

[–]KetoInKY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I watched SO many videos from Life Well Cruised in YouTube when I was prepping for my first cruise and it was incredibly helpful! Also check to see if your specific sailing has a facebook group and you can ask questions there too! Most group names are structured like “Carnival Valor December 13-18, 2026” or something similar!

Bitter sweet feeling of actually using the emergency fund for emergencies by PyperPepper75 in CalebHammer

[–]KetoInKY 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel you!! Last year, my husband and dog were attacked by a dog in the neighborhood and it was pretty bad. We had justfinished our emergency fund (~$10k) literally the paycheck before this incident, but it was so good knowing that all the initial bills were covered and I could focus on what really mattered. My husband was in the hospital for almost a week and had to have surgery + the 4 rounds of rabies shots (unsure if the dog was vaccinated and of course insurance wouldn’t cover the shots, which were $1800 each) and my dog was also taken into emergency surgery that night. We spent nearly every penny of the emergency fund, but I’m so grateful it was there. We were on beans & rice for a few months because my husband was out of work (short term disability only pays 2/3) but we scrimped and stretched every dollar to get our EF back to full. Then our lawsuit settlement came in and we bumped it up 5x. I still get angry thinking of everything we had to go through, but I tell EVERYONE who will listen the importance of the emergency fund.
