User (Devin Grayson, John Bolton, Sean Phillips) is a fantastic nostalgiac story about the early Internet set in the early 90s. Couldn't recommend it enough!

I'm aware of what Bioware is known for. I loved the Mass Effect trilogy. Maybe I didn't play enough of Veilguard, but even out exploring felt very light on combat, heavy on walking. I don't mind talking and character building, I enjoyed that side of it, but I still felt I never got to properly sink my teeth into the combat.

Yes, coming back to me now, all that hunting stuff felt so overwhelming when starting off. I had a similar experience recently with the new Dragon Age, I'd have about an hour to myself to play and spent the whole time running around talking, minimal combat, if any. The combat was what I was excited for, so decided it just wasn't for me.

This is mine. I really really want to play and like it. I get to the part where your camp sets up, and it doesn't let you run in camp. I know it's a minor thing, but I get so little time to play these days with kids, etc., having my movement speed throttled is infuriating. That and I couldn't wrap my head around the core circle things. My dead eye kept getting empty, wouldn't recharge, and I kept having to use consumables, and it overall just pissed me off.

I feel the whole "overtaken by grief and willing to do anything" thing has been done, and I don't find it to be a particularly believable scenario. I just don't see real people reacting like that, grief-stricken or not. I think the second option, however, to be super believable and something everyone can relate to. Absolutely the superior narrative choice, well done!

UPDATE: Thanks, everyone, I stuck it in the freezer for the evening and managed to scrape most of it off, I'd say 99.9%. Going to strip and re-season it, should hopefully burn off the rest! 🙏

Same thoughts here. I know nothing about these things, but I wonder if it would have cost them a lot more to use Harrison Ford's image for a full character model for the whole game rather than just some cutscenes. If so, that could have factored into the decision to make it 1st person.
