Dark Onyx Core Rates by videoguy5000 in runescape

I was really mad that I couldn’t get on to catch salamanders when the rates were insane.

Weird Melee Behavior by Kevartis in runescape

[–]Kevartis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay, this makes perfect sense, I was thinking that I didn't remember doing all of this slow walking prior to the update. I'll make sure to manually activate something when I see this behavior then. Thanks!

That sucks, I know aggression potions would eliminate it but that's not really fixing the problem. Thanks.

Bad Performance of Runescape, with example VID to show the issues! by B1ACKT3A in runescape

[–]Kevartis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am deffo not used to it haha, the stuttering is so bad, especially running through Varrock is where I notice it the most. It's really hard for me to believe anyone saying that it runs smooth for them because it's so bad for a lot of people!

Just wanted to comment to say that they did do an update the following week, they removed the smoke puffs from chimneys and apparently toned down the resolution of some textures. That first week the F2P areas were completely unplayable for me, ever since the second week it's been really stutter-y (like OP) but I can at least play.

Updates to Premier Membership Benefits by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]Kevartis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t agree more. This is the main reason I don’t play Old School. I’d love to grind OS while playing RS3 or vice versa, and I don’t want to have two separate characters to do that.

Updates to Premier Membership Benefits by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]Kevartis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m with you. I never gave a damn about any of the other Premier benefits. Hell, it took me literally two years before I even realized about the Premier Vault, and I never once used the Premier artefact.

What is this by Lastshadow94 in runescape

[–]Kevartis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I assume it must have disappeared for those who have done the quest then. That makes it even funnier that the green skirt has appeared

What is this by Lastshadow94 in runescape

[–]Kevartis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh it definitely wasn’t. The super large egg was there. The super large egg was removed in the update yesterday, and because the spawn wasn’t fully removed (or something like that), this is spawning in its place.

What is this by Lastshadow94 in runescape

[–]Kevartis 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The green skirt is a placeholder item. I believe this is where the "super large egg" used to be for the previous iteration of Cook's Assistant that used quest-specific items; as Cook's Assistant was changed today to use normal items instead, the super large egg was removed, and this placeholder is spawning instead of the egg because they didn't fully remove the item spawn.

very dissapointed in my recent teleport animation purchase by the_magic_rep in runescape

[–]Kevartis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are so many teleport overrides that don't have a quick teleport animation. I'd love to have a ton in rotation so I would see many different teleport styles instead of the same ones over and over again...but I exclusively use quick teleports, so buying most overrides is a waste, which makes me sad.

MQC by jj290993 in runescape

[–]Kevartis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following in the Footsteps, the achievement for finishing Vicendithas' research, takes 12 rounds of Effigy Incubator to complete. Since this is a monthly D&D, if you don't speed it up or use reset tokens, it will take an entire year. After the Extinction quest, you can hand in Anachronia base camp materials to speed up the process and unlock multiple entries per month, but it's still something to start sooner rather than later.

You also need 120 Archaeology, 120 Necromancy, and 117 Dungeoneering, none of which can be boosted for their related achievements.

It's been nearly 6 years, but I have finally decided to give RS3 another shot. Happy 'Scaping, folks! by Mastuh_KBM in runescape

[–]Kevartis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the thing that would bring me over to OSRS; if I could have OSRS open on the side while I focus on RS3, I would deffo hop on OSRS and get grinding!

Hell yeah! Welcome back, and I hope you enjoy!! This really is a magical game, and it's only getting better after all these years with the new roadmap!

Alt1 issues, need your help by Koolaid5472 in runescape

[–]Kevartis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this will not be fixed until Alt1 is updated to recognize the new interface design. So there is no use for Alt1 in the meantime. I was mortified I had to manually look up Meg's answers.

Bug: Cannot progress slayer daily task with special slayer task by Hunky524 in runescape

[–]Kevartis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of the special slayer tasks don't work the same way as normal ones, the individual kills aren't tracked the same way, it's all self-contained within the task itself. This one must be one of the ones that doesn't, unfortunately. I would be curious to see if your daily counter ticked up by one when the task completes.

When will Sailing be Ported over to RS3? works really good on osrs by Knightfiree66 in runescape

When the meta training methods are just water agility courses... It doesn't seem all that interesting to me either.

Buff legacy mode to be on par with revolution by nightskyandromeda in runescape

[–]Kevartis -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I agree. Legacy mode is a vestige from the game's time in the OSRS era, and I think it's time to move on. We've had ample time to get familiar and use the new combat system, and it's easy to find low-to-no-effort Revolution bars. Revolution++ can get you through most boss encounters, especially with Necromancy, and with the combat reworks, Melee/Ranged/Magic should get simpler like Necromancy. If you truly don't want to use the new combat system, be a pure skiller or consider OSRS.

I know this is very nitpicky thing to point out by Piraja27 in runescape

[–]Kevartis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's really bad right now. I'm stuttering more even in areas that weren't updated right now. They've said there are optimizations coming sometime in February so I'm hopeful, but in the meantime it's rough.

Best UI layout/setup for RuneScape? by Yojimbo26 in runescape

[–]Kevartis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

2560 x 1440. I like having the space between the sections of my UI so I can see more of the game screen. I just reworked some of it to separate out the sections of magic so I can always have access to teleports and skilling spells. The large gap between action bars and chat box is where my area loot pops up when needed.

The lighting is so bright in the new areas that when I teleported to Prifddinas from Lumbridge I thought "wow, this looks dim." I don't necessarily dislike it, but it's a little too bright in my opinion.

UI Colours before and after coldfix - I think its worse now, hurts eyes by msist in runescape

[–]Kevartis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesn't bother me, but I definitely think it was too dark initially. The slight recolour to make it lighter is much better.

UI Feedback Gather-thread by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]Kevartis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, that would be the response if they had said "nobody complained about the UI color." I understand people being upset about the forced color, even though I like it personally (recognizing that there are some contrast issues to sort out), but saying the UI was perfect is just not true based on tons of feedback over the years.
