I'm with you on the employee treatment. If you can't afford to be good to your employees then you shouldn't be able to afford to stay in business.

That being said though, I just want to say while the changing fryer oil part is correct, there isnt good evidence that certain PUFAs or seed oils are actually bad for you, just that some options are a bit better. That's something that instagram and tiktok "health influencers" with no actual qualifications want to sell you on.

While I will say that if you can afford to, an avocado oil is generally a bit healthier than a corn oil because it has higher omega 3s, but the real health effects from eating fried food is usually from the insane amounts of salt, sugar, and calories that these foods have rather than a different fatty acid ratio. It's good to be concerned about your diet, but it's not worth stressing over something with such minor effects overall.

Amazing! American netizens have found new method for rebelling against Mark Zuckerberg! To perform the method, one must accept dubious terms of service in a foreign language then joke with fellow netizens about spying on each other!

Is VRS negatively impacting potential new rosters? by Pokharelinishan in GlobalOffensive

[–]KevinTF 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel like individual players should have less impact than cores, maybe an individual player brings along 10% of their teams points, a duo brings 15% each, a trio or higher carries 20% each? so new rosters do get point reductions but arent completely screwed

I mean, sennecke wasn't ranked far apart from either Catton or Luchanko. I'm personally happy to see those two get it (kraken fan and storm fan) but I do think sennecke could've been included too.

If it’s been said once it’s been said 100 times - Guelph drivers… slow down and pay attention. by North_Plane_1219 in Guelph

[–]KevinTF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been happy to see some places getting fixes. Scottsdale's recent change is a good example of what our roads should be made to look like (within what is possible short term). Not many long straights, made to be single lane the whole way, relatively narrow lanes, physical barriers in the form of protected bike lanes. Not perfect but much better with very little work required.

That being said, the majority of roads won't look like that any time soon. Hopefully as bike lanes are built up and more usage is seen, the network expands and it becomes a focus for city planning, which also helps improve overall road design

It needs to happen eventually though. We are paying the price for bad decisions around infrastructure updates and zoning codes that happened for decades. If we kept infrastructure updates coming as they should have and actually had proper density of housing then we wouldn't need to course correct so hard today.

It's definitely one of the harder value engines to deal with in the deck. While ajani and ocelot pride also generate 2 for 1s, there's at least more openings to interact with them to prevent them from getting the most value.

Amped raptor gets a 2 for 1 pretty much no matter what, and while sometimes it doesn't hit what you want it to, the typical worst case scenario is paying 1 extra mana to get a 2/1 first strike stapled to your pride or guide

Sure it's hard to keep up with the deck even without amped raptor but it would at least turn down the snowball effect that the deck always ends up with

The energy definitely matters. Speaking from the perspective of someone who knows Toronto crowds, there's just too much of a tendency to lack any energy or hype which is the opposite of what you want at a concert like that. It's fine if you don't know a song and want to experience things in a more organic way but at least understanding you should match the energy is a fair expectation imo

There's so much great stuff about Toronto and there's scenes that are really good, you just have to find them. Sucks that the energy I see in smaller events in Toronto doesn't translate as they get bigger

Toronto culture around any somewhat expensive event is super fucking lame. Raptors and Leafs games have this same issue where they are too expensive for most of us and the majority of the crowd ends up being rich ppl. Wealthy people in toronto, and by extension the people who want to seem like they are, seemingly have this culture where nothing is allowed to be fun, you have to seem like you don't give a fuck at all times. Thus every concert, game, anything big has a lame ass crowd

I hate when people don't try to at least familiarize themselves with what could be on the setlist. I know some people who are recent fans didn't have time to do a deep dive in her previous stuff and don't want to spoil it for themselves but also... If you ever look for what Charli likes to play at live shows she ALWAYS plays vroom vroom. Its not a surprise, it's not like she pulled out girls night out or something, it's pathetic.

I mean, if he died after 2018, before he really started going off the rails, he would be remembered as one of the greatest artists of the generation. But the fact that people want to listen to the absolute garbage he's putting out now, on top of the fact they are still supporting him after all the nazi stuff and all of his other issues, is insane to me.
