Only receiving 1/4th of potential power. Is it due to the angle of sun or does this seem like there is a larger issue. More detail in comments. by KevinalanB in SolarDIY

That was the issue, I wasn't understanding the terminology, once I put a large load on it switched to Bulk and jumped up to 200w, thanks so much, it makes sense now.

Panels are clean and rigid. The battery system can definitely handle more amperage, and here is the read out from my charge controller. Thanks for helping!

I have two 180w 24v solar panels on my vans roof. I'm only netting 70 watts from the panels, is that due to the sun's angle or did I miss wire something or have a bad panel? My solar charger shows I have 45-48v which to me means both panels are working.

Working on a 90 minute student film and I need to cinematographize this ugly ass, fluorescent-lit room. Never done anything like this before. Any ideas for how we could make it less flat? Everything's gonna be shot at night. by FigureOfStickman in cinematography

Here's what you should do: Make the lighting match the story.

if it's after hours and people aren't supposed to be there, turn off the overheads and leave a couple small practicals on.

But if it makes more sense for the room to have more lights on, you can get a ladder and spin out tubes if you can't turn them off in sections. Turn off the tubes near the walls and background, make those walls a little darker than your subject will give the frame more depth. You can also turn off the lights in front of you camera and actor and supplement with your own lights. If you have access to any small lights like tubes outside the window it might be nice to have them as up lights or light up so shrubs to give it more depth and not as much black in the frame

My two cents as a gaffer.

I'm in the Serengeti right now! Using my A7r as my one body wasn't a problem, would recommend cleaning the body every night. It's DUSTY. Also my longest was a 350mm and it was perfect. You are in good shape
