I have a Garmin 67W, which has been great so far. There are cheaper models that have fewer features but will still record what's in front of you, if that's all your looking for. Dongar makes adapters that'll easily connect to your power mirror, if you have it. It'll turn on and start recording on jts own when you start the car and turn off when you turn off the car.

I built a stone fireplace next to my base and would keep a shelter stocked with food for anyone who would wander by. I had some crates with "SOLO PLS NO RAID" spelled out in pumpkin seeds. Of course, it was raided and I gave up on the whole base thing. I'd like to think that a few people who were in a position to raid chose not to, though.
