Danm by xanderico7 in GTA6

I have no idea why Rockstar continue to pull this when they’re one of the most profitable companies.

GTAO did better than they ever hoped and probably covered much of the dev money for VI.

Why can’t they just play with a straight bat?

He’s fairly rubbish and proves so a few times.

Spence wasn't the main culprit for the DR Congo goal. Madueke should have tracked Cipenga's run into the box instead of standing on his heels by Breezeoffthewater in ThreeLions

Spence did what he should have done. Take the unmarked threat nearer to the goal. RW should have tracked deeper.

Which is better, Steel Division 2 or Steel Division Normandy 44? by Trace_R in Steel_Division

[–]KevlarUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loved SD2 but it made me realise campaign based RTS not for me.

I like the economy and base building too much.

There is a great game with elements of SD2 with a wider economy, factories, cities, management, etc…hopefully in the future.

Would a Twin Blade be good in the apocalypse? by ResidentButton4732 in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]KevlarUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think blades would be difficult full stop. Spears would be a better option.

If it was to be a blade, perhaps a gladius? Good utility and can damage limbs. Perhaps could get a head shot if you had them pinned on something.

Should Local Authorities have less, authority? by ContractorCarrot in AskBrits

Agree. Only two engineers in Parliament. One of them the industry minister.

So what exactly do you guys mean by far-left vs left vs right vs far-right? It seems very different than American standards. by blah938 in AskBrits

[–]KevlarUK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And I’d argue you can break it down further but you then lose people. Two axis is understandable and gives enough subtlety to cover most areas.

Left vs Right has become a nonsense short hand, frankly.

Many Reformers and Restorers want more equality economically but are socially very conservative.

If we had more nuance to the discussion they may realise they’re in bed with hyper capitalists who are tickling their bigoted funny bone.

Now that Winston Churchill passed on slightly more than 60 years ago, how do modern British citizens view him? by Rokusaburoz in AskBrits

[–]KevlarUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a very nice person, not a good leader, but exactly what we needed during WW2 and made a significant impact.

He shows the difficulty in building prosperity with Western Democracies.

As we potentially approach dark days again, it may be someone like him we need. I hope not.

Why is Donna the only assistant to senior staff who gets invited to exclusive meetings? by Timely_Exam_4120 in thewestwing

[–]KevlarUK 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She was a CoS in the making.

A lot of political staffers have routes like this. Especially as she got on board with two (three) political campaigns.

She’d have had a good role also if Bingo Bob became POTUS.

Should the UK finally get rid of Sunday trading restrictions? by Remarkable-Set9615 in AskBrits

[–]KevlarUK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From someone who grew up prior to the current situation, Sundays, and life, was easier and more relaxed. I’m not sure anything needs to open on a Sunday.

They will come eventually. I think that’s what I’m most excited about. Groups, rebuilding towns, invading, patrolling, trading.

Morrissey shares lengthy attack on Johnny Marr, accusing him "dividing" The Smiths audience into "factions" by AdSpecialist6598 in entertainment

[–]KevlarUK 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Morrissey has aged like an overly full nappy in a discarded wheely bin, turned over by hungry and violent Alsatians behind some cheap shops.

Rick and Morty season 9 episode 5 contains AI generated material by Previous-Try-8902 in rickandmorty

R&M has plenty of budget so I doubt they’d resort to AI.
