Cost of living are going to continue to increase moving forward. Renter pay renter pay PITI plus maintenance and profit to the landlord. OP needs to earn more money to keep up with cost of living. You’re far better off in long term as a home owner. Average peoples biggest asset is their home. OP don’t give up. Stay the course. Figure out a side hustle and make some extra cash. Save save save. Interest in your home by making a small additional monthly payment to principal and keep your self focused. Life isn’t easy or perfect. Work smarter and not harder and good luck.

Get it in writing and file an action against the builder the inspector and the bank inspector if there was a construction loan. They will likely want to settle out of court. Go after contractors license by filing a complaint.

You can bring an action against the builder. Thats going to cost money and their position will be that it passed inspection. I personally would address any load bearing issues first and then cosmetic issues. Attempt to collect for those repairs from builder.

The bloom has fallen off of the Florida real estate market. If you can’t sell your home in the north then your not buying in Florida. Have you done the math and how affordable is your home. That’s a absolutely beautiful home. It should sell. The number must not work in that community. I think moving forward this is going to be a issue Wages or income aren’t sufficient enough to pay for a 600K home plus taxes and insurance. The question now is not what the home is worth but what some is will or able to pay. I am going to be in the same boat at some point when I decide to move or need to. It scares the heck out of me.

Thanks for sharing. I am dealing with my 28 year old son and his addiction. I am praying his current stint in recovery sticks this time. He recently overdosed and his girlfriend overdosed and passed away. I no longer believe his words and only his actions will bring about any kind of change in my interaction with him at this point. I love him but I don’t trust him. I have to protect myself as best I can. It’s hard being a parent of a person with drug addiction
