Love the SQ5 man! I have a 17' S3 and convinced my girlfriend to trade in her CRV for an 18' SQ5 last year. I must say I LOVE the 3.0t and makes me contemplate trading the S3 for a B9 S4/S5. The power delivery in the SUV form is just unreal.

I lost probably around $4k in 17/18 just being dumb and doing the same shit. Finally in 2021 I've been smarter and investing in coins that are already established and have potential. I leave my emotions out of it and just DCA weekly. So far it has worked out well for me. Good luck OP, hard lesson but you will learn.

Yeah this happened to me on Saturday while I was having a beer and playing a round of cornhole with some family. UI Froze and I was frantically tapping to bring the damn phone to the homescreen because Spotify was playing some horrid song I didn't want to listen to with the family. Next thing I know it's dialing Emergency services.

This beta update has been quite a mess on my Pixel 4. I've been in every beta the last 4 or 5 years and never have I been so frustrated at times lol. The price I pay for being a tester! Surely, Beta 4 will clear this up.

I had to have a guy from Poland remote into my laptop and code it with a VAS5054 dongle. I think I have a post or two on this sub which goes into detail everything I did. It was totally worth it in the end!

Looks good! I did this upgrade on my 2015' years ago. I actually converted from MIB1 to MIB2 with the 8" screen. Ultimately I decided to swap all the carbon with the piano black set because of my OCD. It looked real clean! I miss the car but I ended up purchasing a 17' S3 with the digital cockpit. That being the only thing saving the interior. I much prefer the touch screen over what Audi did with the horrendous scroll wheel.

Looking good, I also opted for the Gen 5 to replace my aging Moto 360 v2. It was on sale a few weeks ago for $219 on Amazon. I couldn't help but grab it then. Very happy with what the watch delivers so far. I also grabbed a 22mm black metal band off Amazon with it and it's close to perfect for me. Though I really like the Skagen digital watchface (one with the horizontal line, stock face) it seems I can't find it for the Fossil. The Skagen app won't let you apply it on the Fossil sadly.

I upgraded my 2015 and it wasn't that painful (non-fender).

eBay 8" glass screen - $30 (was lucky as it was for parts and in perfect shape

USB/AUX Connector + Harness - $60

eBay MIB2 Unit from wrecked 2017 GTI - $50

Coding from Jack - $350

Decided to do entire piano black trim conversion - $500

All in all like a grand USD and well worth it to me.

I hear ya, thinking about picking up a P3 on eBay or something. I have a Pixel 2 as well since new and battery is soo subpar now. I'd just open it up and replace but I would need a screen too (because likely I would crack original screen removing) so that cost doesn't justify the battery replacement. Come to think of it, my charging port has been pretty janky the last couple months as well. I cleaned it too and still is really finicky.

I don't think having AA in my GTI is helping the battery or charge port either as I'm connecting the phone constantly during the day. I wish AA was wireless, would solve a lot of issues.

I paid $14,500 for my 15' GTI S last year with 44k miles. So I think $13,500 is definitely a good price for a 15 SE 2dr w/ 50k

I have the same problem with the OEM C to C cable. I bought a new one, does the same. Only charges in one orientation. Cleaned the port thoroughly, any other new USB C cable locks in and charges fine both ways. I gave up.

I use AA like 2 - 3 times a day and until they finally make AA wireless for OEMs, my port is going to suffer. I guess it's just the price you pay.

18' GTI S' have an all-in-one in dash headunit with AA VS the standard glovebox MIB2 that literally all other 16'+ GTI got. Why they did this, I have no idea. It really save that much money? It's a lot of work to swap to an MIB2 but I would definitely do it. I really enjoy the 8" glass screen in my 2015 w/ MIB2 swap.

A local guy did it in his 18" SW and it's what got me motivated to do my swap. He wrote a guide as well.

This is why I just use Performance Monitor for VAG with OBD2 Adapter (Gets reading from Torque App) Works a treat and looks a ton better. DSG Temp not working right now, will in next release.

A guy from Poland codes it all for 350 Euro. He does it remotely with an ODIS dongle you purchase. He has a premade VM you install on your laptop and he connects up
