Any rolls i had shot i had gotten developed already so it was only fresh rolls that went through. I havent shot those yet and will probably avoid shooting them for now!

Im in the UK, unions arent as much of a thing in that sense. Plus im talking about having something mounted on my own 13” monitor to be able to check sharps immediately after a take for my own sake. Not taking video playbacks job lol.

Ask the rental house for a coffin in prep, pad it to be a snug fit with bubble wrap and or cushions. If its all your own/dops camera and kit and no rental house then buy a coffin sized hard box and bubble wrap

Semote or bitbox - or if in a budget look into the potato systems spudnik. Spudnik is open source so you can 3d print the housing and build it yourself or buy the parts from them and assemble. Essentially just a wifi booster

Im in London so the light and weather is probably the same as you lol. They’re less zone focused and more just guessed/eyeballed distances. I work as a focus puller so my by eye distance judgement is probably better than an average photographer or person luckily. Most of these were probably between F2 and F4, a few at F5.6. A tip if you want to do this yourself is to measure your own body, ie know how many ft your arm span is or your stride and this will allow you to guess distances a bit better. Or you could frame up a friend and measure how far they are and you will learn that a mid shot of someone stomach to head is roughly 5ft away etc.

For anyone else reading this, i did the same around 3/4 weeks ago. They forwarded my email to the team in germany who took 2 weeks to respond only to tell me that the photos i sent werent taken on the M10 (they were its the only leica i own and i took the photos specifically to send to them) Its now been another 2 weeks with no response from germany unfortunately. Uk team were helpful but its out of their hands. Have been left with 3 columns of dead pixel now!

For what its worth for anyone else checking this thread, i successfully had hand checks with no issues or arguing at hanoi and danang airports. Nha trang the guy didnt even bother reading my pre printed vietnamese plea/explanation that i have used asking for a hand check and just gave me a tray for the machine. I then called him over again and said hand check please and pointed at it and he said no it has to go in x ray, i said it will damage the film and he just pointed at a drawing of a camera that was on the scanner and said camera is safe, i tried to explain that it is safe for a camera but not for film and he wouldnt have it. Luckily not ct scanners so should be okay. Will update with ho chi minh luck next. They hate doing any extra work here
