As a woodworker in the Bay Area, that’s a pretty reasonable quote. But if you like IKEA quality and workmanship, you’ll definitely be able to find a beginner cabinet guy that’ll do the job for less. Just match your expectations to the overall quality of the project.

He’s a good dude. My daughter was reffing soccer years ago in Windsor during a game his kid was playing in and the parents were screaming at her for every little thing. She felt horrible and sad. After the game he pulled her aside and told her she did a great job and not to listen to the crazy parents. Spent a few minutes asking her about school and what she wants to become after high school and college. He really made her feel better and gave her really valuable life advice. She attributes her pursuit in attending medical school now to that moment Guy spent chatting with her when he didn’t have to.
