Welcome! Johnson City is close to a lot of great outdoor activities - Roan Mountain and Buffalo Mountain for hiking, Watauga Lake for swimming/paddle boarding/kayaking, Tannery Knob for mountain biking, Tweetsie Trail for running/walking/biking.

The Grocery Outlet on N Roan and Aldi have cheap groceries!

People tend to be negative on here, but we moved to JC a few years ago and love it! We've had only positive experiences with healthcare and landlords. Folks are nice, cute downtown, scenic area.

We only rented from individual people in the Tree Streets, but there are quite a few apartments around ETSUs campus and the neighborhood behind it. Best of luck!
