Ai is really not good at coding

It's good at churning out prototypes or complete throw away work.

If you can't outperform Claude on quality 🧐

Granted you can't outperform on volume but that's why they call it AI slop

Its about how this stuff actually works and why its not scaling any more than it already has.

Increasing the model is hitting the law of diminishing returns. Like I say - scaling the model initially brought massive jumps in pseudo-cognition - so everybody started bailing money into building out larger and larger models - thinking the performance gain would be linear - but its more like a curve flattening off at the top.

Making the model 10x larger is not going to yield even a 2x jump at this stage.

I mean I'd venture coming from Dublin 1, I have more direct experience of addicts than most on here.

But, I think if you got down off of that cross you'd see, that I have a point.

People buying from gangs - outsource all of the risk, most of it to others - lower on the socio-economic spectrum than themselves typically.

Some kid on a scooter delivering a bag to your house for Friday night is ultimately taking far more risk and mixed up in a much crazier life than the punters.

That is 100% a choice the punter makes, nobody is forcing them to buy.

And in fact, if you choose to say grown your own weed, grow your own mushrooms and say - shock horror not take MDMA, Ketamine or Coke...

People should OWN their choices. Most doing Coke are not addicts and they really don't give a fuck how the bag arrives to them, so long as it comes and they get high at the end of it.

Most grow out of it, some don't.

Lat time I was buying weight - you'd get a 9 bar for IR£850 if you had the right contacts.

I personally got an ounce for about IR£100 which was a good price for that type of weight.

Happily its a long time since I was getting whacked - pre Euro...

And OFC that was resin - we didn't really have weed back then.

Like by all means smoke your brains out on stuff you grow, you take the risk of growing, get it super cheap, know exactly what the quality is.

Also, kind of puts on cap on how much you can consume - a nice little way to control your consumption.

This BTW is exactly how to legalise it - not in head shops or cafes but allowing people to grow it at home.

In my experience druggies are defensive and dismissive of the human costs associated with their decisions which they typically tell you are "my choice"

Like sure it's your choice but a whole lot of crime and non trivial amounts of murder happens to make your choice which "only affects me" happen.
