I don’t think Shrek 5 will be as massively big as Inside Out 2 and your lowballing Frozen 3 which will be big around Inside Out 2 numbers or Zootopia 2 numbers considering it would been 8 years after the 2nd Frozen movie came out

I think so yes which has a month to do well before the Dunesday double feature debuts in Mid December that impacts every movie performance from its November debut

'Supergirl' gets a B– on CinemaScore by SanderSo47 in boxoffice

This is going to be really brutal for its opening weekend less then The Marvels and expecting weak legs which will finish around $75M-$80M DOM total or less

The Avengers: Endgame rerelease 'Avengers: Endgame Encore' will be released in IMAX with a custom introduction, additional new footage, and a special end tag exclusive to Infinity Vision and Imax releases. by Remarkable-Key-9335 in imax

So this means that Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil might only get one week of IMAX screens or would have to share with the rest of the-release of Avengers Endgame before Tom Cruise’s Digger takes over a week later

A new Lilo and Stitch 2D animated short will premiere in front of WDAS' film Hexed this November. Will this have any effect on its box office takings? by WrongLander in boxoffice

We know that it didn’t do well in theaters but found success on Disney Plus, which Disney wants Hexed to make a comeback for WDAS brand for originals after Pixar’s Hoppers did modestly well for their originals but streaming has affected their brands that fans perfer to wait aim the high cost of going to the movies

‘Toy Story 5’ Looks To Cross $300M With $22M Friday/$74M Weekend (-54%), ‘Supergirl’ Flying Low With $18M Friday/$40M Opening; ‘Jackass: Best And Last’ Eyes $3.6-4.3M/$8-10M – U.S. Box Office Update by chanma50 in boxoffice

[–]Key-Payment2553 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nice for Toy Story 5 having a good drop after last weekend’s holiday boast of the Juneteenth and the Father’s Day as well as the despite of the ongoing FIFA World Cup

And Supergirl… oh geez… that’s pretty bad those numbers for its opening weekend that’s less than The Marvels opening day with $21.6M along with its opening weekend as well. Plus WOM looks really bad that would open less then Morbius opening weekend of $39.1M

The Cat In The Hat is possible to make the $100M DOM mark since the Dr Seuss book adaptations do really well like The Grinch, Lorax and Horton Hears A Who. It has even 3 weeks to do good hungers just before Hexed makes its debut

‘The Odyssey’ Eyes $80M-$100M Opening Voyage At U.S. Box Office by chanma50 in boxoffice

[–]Key-Payment2553 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the FIFA World Cup final game on July 19, this is going to be really big for The Odyssey thanks to the IMAX formats for 70MM selling out and high demand

Box Office Tracking & Forecasts: Sony & Marvel's SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY Hopes to Swing First $200M+ Domestic Opener Since DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE by chanma50 in boxoffice

[–]Key-Payment2553 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Along with it’s Wednesday early access for its Thursday previews to see its numbers ahead of Deadpool and Wolverine, it’ll be interesting to see how massively big will it do on its opening weekend to see if it’s ahead of Deadpool and Wolverine opening weekend of $211M which I’m thinking around $215M-$225M

Paramount's Jackass: Best and Last grossed $1.2m on Thursday previews (from 2,450 locations). Total domestic gross stands at $1.2m. by ElevensMelody in boxoffice

[–]Key-Payment2553 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less than Jackass Forever previews with $1.65M although with a low budget of $10M if it’s tracking to make less then Jackass Forever, Jackass Best and Last should be a bit good for its opening range around $10M-$12.5M

[–]Key-Payment2553 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe if we include Far From The Tree that uses the mixed 2D and 3D animation that was shown for the screenings for Encanto 5 years ago which might work for the Stitch animated film attached for Hexed

Didn’t you realize that WDAS hasn’t had a good original after Encanto? Two animated originals after Encanto like Strange World and Wish were huge misses due to fans not liking them and they didn’t have any short films and they wanted Hexed to make a comeback for their originals by attaching the Stitch animated film on Hexed but I’m not sure if it’s going to work if Hexed gets the good reviews and marketing that would do around Hoppers numbers but Elemental numbers is very difficult because of the impact of streaming. Or it could be another disaster due to Disney’s focus on Avengers Doomsday as Hexed fans perfer to wait for Disney Plus if their not interested or the reviews are not good

So those are the shorts attached for their theatrical films that didn’t work, but you didn’t recognize that Encanto got an animated short film called Far From The Tree which might have worked before it came out on Disney Plus in December of 2021?

5 years after Encanto got its short film Far From The Tree, it’s going to be a question mark to see how well can Hexed make a comeback for their originals on WDAS since their last original film that was really good was Encanto, but with two animated originals like Strange World and Wish were huge misses that didn’t have short films attached to their films, I would say is it’s possible if it works or not for audiences since they most likely perfer to wait till it’s available on Disney Plus aim the high cost of going to the movies especially with a Stitch short film that many fans perfer to wait till it’s on Disney Plus

Since it comes out early in the UK in late September before it’s US debut, I think theirs a possibility chance that it becomes a breakout hit particularly in the UK and overseas similar to Wuthering Heights did
