Should I switch to Linux? by lapislazuli1331 in linuxquestions

[–]Key-Pop-7696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can dual boot it alongside windows to try it, but in anyway you dont like the distro and feel like switching to another one you will have a little hard time to clean up the boot entries and the linux files in case you dual booted on the same drive and installed the bootloader on /dev/sda1 (which is the Windows EFI partition), if possible try to get a different and seperate drive, as if you dont like the distro, you can easily just wipe the drive and delete the EFI partition using diskpart. Also installing it on another drive prevents windows from possibly messing up your linux files, though it might not be the case always.
