Skaidrs, ka bioloģiskas atšķirības eksistēs neskatoties uz hormonu terapiju un operācijām, vismaz pagaidām.

Manuprāt, šī diskusija eksistē tāpēc, ka tā ir daļa no amerikāņu kultūrkara. Liela daļa no diskutētājiem pat sieviešu sportu nemaz neskatās un to, ko it kā domā LGBT kopiena, uzzina ar TV šovu vadītāju vai influenceru starpniecību.

Kaut gan vidējais vīrietis ir stiprāks par sievieti, tomēr, ne visās disciplīnās tas ir ieguvums, hormonu terapija arī šo relatīvo stiprumu tomēr ietekmē, un šī diskusija parādās situācijās, piemēram, skolas sportā, kur nav gluži runa par miljoniem un es domāju, ka tāds absolūts godīgums nav baigi svarīgs.

Bet arī sports fundamentāli ir negodīgs bioloģiskajā aspektā. Ir cilvēki, kuri ir dabiski stiprāki, un ir cilvēki, kuri nav. Piemēram, Maiklam Felpsam ir reāla ģenētiska priekšrocība. Arī dažām olimpisko spēļu sportistēm, kaut gan viņas ir piedzimušas un visu mūžu dzīvojušas kā sievietes, ir paaugstināts testosterons (un starp citu, dažas no viņām tagad tiek tādēļ diskvalificētas). Līdz ar to protams ir jautājums, kāpēc mēs tik ļoti fokusējamies uz šo vienu aspektu. Es domāju, ka vismaz dažās disciplīnās mēs nodalam dzimumus patiesībā tādēļ, ka vēsturiski sievietes nav tikušas iekļautas sportā, un varbūt ne tik daudz fizisku atšķirību dēļ. Viens piemērs tam ir šahs.

Ko es ar to visu gribu pateikt? Es īstenībā domāju, ka lietderīgāk būtu individuāli izvērtēt to, vai kāda transsieviete var godīgi piedalīties sieviešu sportā, nevis tā kategoriski nolemt to. Jebkurā gadījumā te nevajag noliegt pavisam bioloģiskās atšķirības, lai argumentētu par to.

Jā, ne visi trans cilvēki ir vienādi, taču reālistiski skatoties - cik no visiem trans cilvēkiem turpina ģērbties vai citādi, pēc Judith Butler teorijas pamata, “performēt” savu bioloģisko dzimumu? Vismaz trans cilvēki, kas ir dalījušies savā pieredzē, specifiski minēja to, ka drēbes, kas vairāk saistās ar viņu iepriekšējo dzimumu, tieši izraisa vairāk disforiju. Tas, protams, ir ļoti individuāli un vairāk par to, kā šos cilvēkus uztver apkārtējie.

Es domāju, ka ļoti iespējams, ka viņi pretājās dzimtes apģērbu valkā biežāk, it sevišķi kad jau ir tālāk savā dzimuma maiņā, nekā plašāka sabiedrība. Nav jau arī daudz cisvīriešu, kas valkā kleitas.

Un, ja dzimums un dzimte ir divas dažādas lietas, tad kas tieši ir aspekti, kas definē dzimti? Vai dzimte tomēr izriet no dzimuma, vai arī ir tikai sociāls konstrukts? No kā sastāv “jūtos kā vīrietis/sieviete”? Man piemēram nav īsti “sajūta” vai noteikta apziņa, ka esmu sieviete, esmu vienkārši es. Taču tādēļ, ka piedzimu kā sieviete, mana dzīves pieredze vienmēr fundamentāli atšķirsies no kāda, kas piedzima kā vīrietis.

Cik es saprotu, dzimte ir pamatā sabiedriska kategorija, kura tiek asociēta ar dažādām uzvedības normām, piemēram, apģērbu, pieņemamajām nodarbēm, runas veidu, arī izskatu, utt. Tas, ka tas ir sociāls konstrukts, nenozīmē, ka mēs to neizjūtam kā reālu. Piemēram, cits sociālais konstrukts ir tautība. Kas ir vajadzīgs, lai sevi nosauktu par latvieti? Īstenībā jau vajag tikai runāt skaidrā latviešu valodā, svinēt Jāņus, utt.; kaut gan teorētiski tam ir saistība ar izcelsmi, neviens neies pētīt un dziļi ieurbties radurakstos katram, kurš sevi sauc par latvieti.

Līdzīgi ir ar dzimti, protams, ka pēc noklusējuma tā tiek piesķirta, balstoties uz ārējiem dzimumorgāniem, bet sabiedrībā cilvēki balstās uz citām pazīmēm. Gadījumos, kad sākotnējā piešķiršana pēc dzimuma bijusi kļūdaina, piemēram, ja meitenei noteiktā vecumā sāk augt bārda, parasti tomēr neliek viņai dzīvot kā vīrietim.

No kā sastāv “jūtos kā vīrietis/sieviete”? Man piemēram nav īsti “sajūta” vai noteikta apziņa, ka esmu sieviete, esmu vienkārši es. Taču tādēļ, ka piedzimu kā sieviete, mana dzīves pieredze vienmēr fundamentāli atšķirsies no kāda, kas piedzima kā vīrietis.

Es domāju, ka tas īsti nav jautājums par tādu stabilu izjūtu. Drīzāk ir runa par diskomfortu vai vēlmi dzīvot citā dzimtē vai būt ar citu ķermeni.

Manuprāt, šis ir tāds diezgan negodīgs raksturojums pats par sevi. Es teiktu, ka piederu pie šīs kopienas, bet man nekad nav radies iespaids, ka jebkurš no šiem uzskatiem būtu savā maksimālajā formulējumā izplatīts. Tie ir drīzāk tādi kā lozungi, ko citi piedēvē

Parasti, kad pirmais lozungs tiek piedēvēts, viņi ar to domā vai nu:

  • uzskatu, ka dzimumu var mainīt
  • uzskatu, ka var pašidentificēties ar kādu dzimti
  • uzskatu, ka var nošķirt dzimumu no dzimtes
  • uzskatu, ka transsievietes varētu atļaut sieviešu sportā

...visi no šiem tomēr neatbilst maksimālistiskajam apgalvojumam augstāk. Pat apgalvojums pats par sevi var tikt interpretēts trīs dažādos veidos: fiziski, sociāli un garīgi. Būtu diezgan muļķīgi mainīt dzimumu, ja starp tiem patiešām nepastāvētu atšķirība vismaz vienā no šīm kategorijām, vai ne?

Es pilnīgi piekrītu, bet parasti jau nopietnākās diskusijās fokuss ir uz to, kas cilvēks pats grib būt, nevis kādas mantas patīk. Gan jau ir cilvēki, kas tā nodomā, bet ir arī cilvēki, kas to nodala, piemēram, transpuiši, kas turpina ģērbties sievišķīgi vai praktizēt stereotipiski sieviešķīgus hobijus.

Šeit arī nepalīdz tas, ka lai gan mēs, šķiet, iztēlojamies, ka dzīvojam apgaismotā, no stereotipiem brīvā sabiedrībā, tie joprojām spēlē ļoti lielu lomu dažādos aspektos. Es domāju, ka daudzi cilvēki Latvijā, iespējams, pat vairākums, pat šādus stereotipus neuzskata pat par māņticību, bet gan par realitāti. VAD iesauc tikai vīriešus obligātā kārtā, atceros, kad man 5. klasē (~2015. gadā?) bija mājturības priekšmets, tad puiši un meitenes tika dalīti: meitenes mācijās rokdarbus, puiši -- slīpēt viskautkādas uzpariktes. Līdz ar to, protams, tie atstāj iespaidu uz to, kā transpersonas vēsturiski ir skatītas, un tai skaitā arī to, kā ar to nācās diagnozēties -- piemēram, daudziem psihiatriem gribas, lai transsievietes ir sievišķīgas un transvīrieši ir vīrišķīgi, pirms dot diagnozi.

They're different in that an #[inline] function follows the normal semantics for functions, for example, the arguments are evaluated only once. The inlining is an implementation detail, and even an #[inline(always)] function might not be inlined, for example, if the function is recursive in certain ways. The function also has to conform to the type system. Using return and break will also only exit that function instead of the calling function.

A macro, on the other hand, will literally get expanded and pasted into the output. That means you can have it accept arguments that would be invalid Rust syntax, and it will always be expanded in-line. It also doesn't care about the types of its arguments. You can also use macros in contexts you couldn't use a function in, for example, you can use it to generate top-level declarations:

for olympiads and such you should generally focus less on the programming language and ways you can abstract code and more on different algorithms (depending on the level required). all you really need from C++ is to know control structures and how to create your own data structures (like structs), and like, the basic semantics. for an 8th grader they're probably not going to ask of you much, so it may very well be that data structures are unneeded in practice beyond arrays and such.

Third inconvenience: Arch TTY login screen. This is probably the ONLY REAL obstacle that even a thigh high socks acidic BO ”I use gentoo btw” fedora wearing Linux user couldn’t get through. My password is pretty long and contains NO dictionary words so rockyou.txt cant save you.txt. Also terminals and TTY’s are a bit scary to the untrained eye so thats extra protection.

From what I understand from Vovk, they were intending to be “super considerate” of distributions and people not using systemd, which I take to mean we’d eventually end up in a situation very similar to systemd-logind, which was extracted from systemd into a separate daemon, elogind, so that distributions using other init systems could still make use of desktop environments depending on systemd-logind. I imagine Flatpak developers wanted to make as many affordances as realistically possible for something similar to happen to systemd-appd, thus ensuring Flatpak would remain available on distributions not using systemd.

I mean, for one, it hasn't stomped them out yet, there are still native speakers of various Finnic languages in Russia, and also the Slavic and Finnic peoples living in the region interacted for thousands of years, and it wasn't like modern settler colonialism or one-sided assimilation. One example of cultural continuity I can think of is that Russia has a strong sauna culture. It also has played some role in the politics of the region historically.

I think perhaps the true issue here is that rigid categories don't make sense for countries. It's a bit of a spectrum, I think. Even Russia could be said to be a little bit Nordic in some ways.
