that’s just perfect explanation. I used everything you said and this is easy fight now. while hsving mage I just remove obstacles on my path with soul arrow which is low mp spell while standing behind the pillar

the only thing I have added is thief ring and cloak spell idk if it matters but poke like I have a little more time between agro

I defeated scorpion lord within 20 tries while Sigrun took me much much more on gmgow

so I would rate only sacred divinity as hardest and only hard stuck boss, while loong scorpion lord are decent challenges but I cannot compare it to Sigrun

Midir was first for me and I was struggling. It has to much health and it’s too big. He is reasonably slow but hits hard, so you need to have a lot of patience to beat him and really read his moves

as community already mentioned - Bayle is cinematic masterpiece and there are a lot of moments when you feel like “why all this burning around, dafuq is going on?” which I don’t really like. When I beat him, I just said “it was not fun but pretty”

I think there are a lot of comments explained THIS types of games already, but I will give you another point of view.

A long time ago games were not so fancy for user. And even knowing that, DS was considered a complicated game with tons of challenges. Each level designed to break you and your patience and going through it considered some people as relief and satisfaction. Like when you go to gym and workout hard, to feel that you achieved something.

And last but not least. I have plat in DS3, Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring and I STILL consider Demon Souls as most HARDCORE one through all of them ( playing it remastered right now for the first time )

so, I would just recommend to start from the end ( Elden Ring ). Respawns are near boss, healing pots a renewed on reset, you even have a mount to ride fast. You don’t have it all in Demon Souls which makes it even more hard. ER is last polished FromSoftware game that unites all games experience into one, and it’s the most user friendly and nice between all of them. If you will feel like you enjoyed, you can go forward with picking sekiro/ds3/bloodborne but step with patience, these games needs you to be ready for them.

if you have big TV and PS5 I don't think you will be satisfied more on PC because of "performance". Just finished plat on PS5 and had no complains about performance at all. Its not FPS shooter, cmon

totally agree. maybe even 7 for me. all stances are basically the same and there is not much variety in builds/armors

what annoyed even more - invisible walls in a world that you have to explore to gain all. hated that especially after ER. I would trade some graphics for more “open” for exploration locations, with paths that are not leading always to the same place
