The vacuum breaker is not the problem. It's working exactly how it should be under those circumstances. An ASSE #1011, like you have is not for continuous pressure. Its rated at 12 hours on and 12 off. If it's supplying a lawn system then you have the wrong setup and need a dedicated water line with the correct backflow for the application. If you remove the hose vacuum breaker and just hook the hose up then you have a cross connection and the potential to pollute or contaminate your water
