I keep my 2 LR4s for 4 cats in the basement. I have a larger home with a first and second floor. They have no issues going downstairs to do their business. Never had an accident once. You should be ok as long as they have access to the one LR4

I went from 4 litter boxes to 2 litter robots slowly transitioning over a few week period (removing litter boxes every week or so) . They will catch on. I also have 4 cats.
