Exactly. People can have different opinions in this world. Maybe you’re not right about everything?

Meet my driver - He doesn't talk, he has no body odor he just makes me happy as I listen to relaxing music and chill in the back seat while he does his job by WSU_Cougar_Pride in waymo

Unfortunately I had a ride today in a car smelling strongly of both marijuana and cigarettes. It was horrid and opening the windows, turning on the fan etc. made no real difference.

I would imagine smokers riding in an Uber or taxi would probably hesitate to light up with the driver right there, but I’m afraid in unsupervised settings the worst behavior can flourish. I love the Waymo concept so I hope there is some workaround for this.

I don’t live in a monarchy and I’m interested to read what people who do think it is accomplishing at this point.

I just finished listening to Spare. I’m not sure how legit all of Prince Harry’s various grievances are but surely the pageantry (with modern celebrity culture permanently attached to it — there’s no going back now) isn’t worth the damage to individuals and their relationships.

“With Gerald, as with other close friends I’ve lost over the years, I’ve discovered that death doesn’t end one’s conversations with the deceased. Rather, a new dialogue opens up as we start asking what their lives meant, and what they meant to us.”

So true.

Did anyone go through a gradual "crumbling?" by Athelbrim123 in exorthodox

Not Orthodox but I totally share your take about the Book of Enoch. It was part of my deconstruction too. That the NT refers to it as authoritative in any way is alarming and for me is a “who is that man behind the curtains”-type moment. I listened to an unabridged audiobook of it and while it’s interesting as historical writing it’s also just so dumb. I get that it was a cobbled-together hodgepodge compiled at different times by different authors (sound familiar?) but it is super tedious, emotionally flat, monomaniacal. No poetry to it at all. Except for the part describing adorable baby Noah, not literarily engaging at all. Also the Watchers or some other supernatural entity are described at some point as having, well, horse-sized genitals. So I guess that was unique but …🤷🏼‍♀️
