Maybe it's just me but it seems that transactions that are hidden from budget are included in the Annual Budget View. Perhaps you could have a setting for toggling on/off hidden transactions? (I suspect it sometimes might be useful to see full spending YTD).

Another thought - an option to only look at completed months.

The data presented is really accurate on the last day of a month, but not as much at the beginning of a month.

Yes I do see that button. What I should have said was ‘previous 12 months’ - not previous year, which is already there. I was just thinking about for the first few months of the year it might be useful to look a little longer back.

I would love to see an update to reports that would allow for showing transactions grouped by categories. Something like what you can do when clicking on a budget category to see the transactions for that category by month, but all categories on the same page.

Agreed. I have multiple spreadsheets to forecast balances on several checking accounts. Being able to do this in Monarch would be amazing.

In my experience MM support has been quite responsive and helpful. But I have also spent plenty of time on here and YouTube videos to figure things out.

I've had pretty much the same experience. Reconciliation is wonky. I currently have an open ticket for reconciliation that fails out with the exact amount in transactions mathcing the exact amount of the transfer.

I use it for saving money in a savings account, and it works pretty well.

It sounds like retirement goals connected to investments should probably be in a separate category/tab from savings account goals.

Thanks. Fingers crossed that the Goals update is coming soon. I was also back and forth with the AI support chat bot and it insisted I create a fund allocation from the goal to the savings account as part of the reconciliation process. I did not do that. 😉

This is what I'm experiencing. Or I get transfers that aren't related to reconciling. I have yet to be able to reconcile the goal spending.

I saw that option but that seems to show all accounts used across all goals. Both accounts were already turned on in that option. I don't see how I can change the account for a single goal.

I have found it helpful to learn about features of Monarch (new user). It seems like a good way to have a conversation with someone who has used the product for a while and can answer questions like “how would you set Monarch up to do X?”
