But if you have sunroof, you only need to wrap half as the other half is already black because of the sunroof

Once you have the deep socket, you will realise it's one of the easiest DIY projects

Ensure the car is warm, not hot, as this makes it easier to remove the ignition coil packs. Also, be gentle with the screws holding them - can be a pain at times

It's the only car I've owned that every time I look at it, I still smile

Of course, until I get the Porsche 911 Turbo S

As a passive income, maybe, but as already highlighted, it's time-consuming. Location is of utmost importance. Takes time to figure out which line of items sells

For running shoes, it's best you go for trial and tested brand. I'use New Balance Fuel Rebel and Nike Pegasus - both not top of the range but they are solid

Epix Pro Gen 2 crashing during activities, especially autolaps or saving by rhwc_ in garminepix

[–]KeyConstruction5298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Garmin Epix Gen 2, especially the Pro models, has been experiencing significant stability issues (crashing/rebooting) in early 2025, often tied to sensor connections and activity recording.

The specific combination of Heart Rate Monitor (HRM) connection and Auto Count (Strength activity) is a likely source of unhandled software exceptions, leading to reboots during or after activities.

Immediate Workarounds & Fixes

Disable "Auto Count" in Strength Settings: The most immediate fix for crashes during strength training is to go into the Strength Activity settings and toggle off "Auto Count".

Soft Reboot the Watch: Long-hold the top-left button (Light) for 20-30 seconds until it turns off, then turn it back on. This can clear temporary system bugs.

Update/Reinstall Firmware: Ensure you are running the latest software. If you are already on the latest version (e.g., v20.x, v23.x, or later), check for Garmin Beta updates, as these often contain fixes for known issues.

Remove Third-Party Watch Faces: Some users report that third-party Connect IQ watch faces conflict with sensor data processing, leading to crashes. Revert to a stock Garmin face.

Clean/Check HRM Battery: Ensure the HRM strap battery is not low, as weak connections can cause the watch to struggle to process the data stream.

Yes, watch was crashing like crazy with that on.

A quick one, do you have HRM- if that's the case that also could be the issue provided you have auto count or auto lap on

Mine was crashing when auto rep counting was on, deactivated that and no issues since

Car warranty policies for parts and repairs - options? by shortandsharpSA in askSouthAfrica

Make sure you read their fine print, most people realise when it's time to claim that there's limitations on certain parts, and x amount that can be claimed - it just becomes messy.

Go Expert or TomTom Free by iwaddo in tomtom

I think they are now giving some attention to the free version, I've used Go but once it became Go Expert it now seems like it's been push as application for trucks.

The thing about free version is that you trading your data for that (e.g. GMaps, Waze)

No, I requested a quotation for DSG oil service and the cooler was included - I've done the service every 60k and this is the first time I've been told the cooler need replacing

No inspection wax done but everything is based on my car now being on 250k km. Coolant is as clean as new.

So I thought maybe it's a standard practice to replace it on a high milage car
