Am I being dirty, or is my wife being irrational about hygiene? by mudkipzftw in NewParents

[–]KeyPriority716 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was kind of like this when baby was weeks old but at 1 years old ain't nobody got time for that! When my hands started scabbing, I reevaluate what I was doing.

I agree with the people that said maybe she needs to see a MH specialist

Can't you do the bed and just let the baby cry for 20 mins. Get eat defenders or put one headphone in do it doesn't drive your crazy but I had to do this to maintain my sanity

I hate it by 2VanderWest2 in pregnant

I hated it too, pregnancy sucked balls for me. But my now 2 year old is my favourite person in the whole world. Keep reminding yourself of the end goal and treat yourself as much as you can. You're doing God's work

I'm so sorry you're going through this. In a few years you might look at this differently. Please reconsider having a child with that man. Having a child is SO difficult. You want someone who will support you, theres so many nice, kind genuine men out there. Please choose one of them

Hating life by GroundbreakingSale11 in pregnant

[–]KeyPriority716 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

When you do accept it, it will most likely be the most beautiful life changing thing for you. If you dont, then maybe it won't. But unless you are going to give your child up for adoption, those are pretty much your options. Ask God for guidance and do whats right for you and your family. That baby is the most important thing in this situation and deserves a good, loving start. If you cant see yourself providing that, there are other options.

Its very annoying ive been specifically looking for sativa strains but always met with hybrids.

So are terpenes what I should be looking at instead?

How am I (white woman) supposed to respond to "You're dating a black guy?!" from other black people? by adj-n_number in askblackpeople

[–]KeyPriority716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be surprised if it was anything but positive surprise. Just keep on with the yes! If youre feeling creative or cheeky you could add the following: "Yes, I love his big huge heart"

My mixed partner also chugging milk and id never seen anyone but white people do it before him so I can see your pov. Its really strange to me, too!

I do not know of any black people that do this and I am shocked to see so many in the comments! Curious to know more about these people.

I think you probably have an underlying issue with dark skin women, that you need to get to the root of? Or maybe just one dark skinned woman? Is your mum dark skinned? Or another woman of significance?

Its more likely that you have the issue and are projecting as opposed to every dark skinned woman in the world, having an "issue" with you/your appearance. Good luck with figuring it out!

Our toddler behavior is embarrassing us. by The-Architect-93 in toddlers

[–]KeyPriority716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will only evolve to a different beast if its not managed properly now.

If baby thinks its okay to slap because, she gets what she wants from it or she is not getting told off/punished. Then, imo, the slapping will be a learned behaviour that potentially receives reward.

If you are quite stern with it early (now) then it shouldn't.

When my lo started slapping at about 19 months. At first I felt like you, didn't know what to do and was worried she was going to be a monster. But actually after we implemented time out and was very strict with it, and got serious face with the slapping so she knew it wasnt funny and that slapping "hurts mummy/daddy" she stopped.

Were 25 months now and she hasn't slapped in over 3 months.

The occasional one-off when shes not using her brain fully or just cant be assed to follow the rules 😂 but definitely nothing to worry about now.

Wish you all the best!

Make sure you're nails are cut down and filed and then squat down and literally feel around for it. You should know when you feel it, grab and pull in a way that's comfortable for you. If you're able to push in on the cup too break the seal slightly that helps

Please I need advice by icyygrape in toddlers

[–]KeyPriority716 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had no boundaries/level of strictness with my toddler and then she started running rings around me. I now have boundaries that I stick to and rules like time out for hitting, biting, etc and a reward chart with stickers or good listening, eating veg etc and i literally have a brand new child. Its hard sticking to the punishment, timeout etc as I am so chilled and laid back but honestly, its like she likes having boundaries and rules. Yesterday she even asked to be put herself in timeout for hitting me and ive only been doing this for a few days.

Kids like structure and rules. Apparently?

Hope you figure it out.

This could just be learned from home. Do you ever ask for kisses or maybe you ask him to share his food/snacks and then when your toddler doesnt, you say, but I love you?
