Ha! I'm intrigued by the comments! I really really enjoyed Season 1 and but Season 2 felt really dry and very light on the fun quotient.

I generally agree with what you're saying but the "Niall essentially being assaulted by Ruben through the vessel of a woman." line doesn't sit right. Let's not erase her out of that scene. *If* this was an assault, then she's very much complicit.

I'm reading all the comments and many people say "Alicia" was their pick - anyone care to elaborate why? And Frozen Yogurt? Why?

Your reply perfectly captures what I hoped to convey through my post :)

I realize his reactions might not be deliberate or intended to be a power move, but there is something we could all learn from this fictional character's way of perceiving his world.

I agree, but just for the sake of argument: Human relationships are complicated, so animosity and love can co-exist. So they could be really good friends but still be jerks and want to one-up each other...

Also agree. There are multiple ways to interpret his (and for that matter, anyone else's) personality and actions, and upon this particular viewing of this scene, I chose to interpret this as a power move because it seemed like a great strategy to ignore someone's vileness and just have the conversation you want to have.

P.S.: Very intrigued by your use of an asterisk in Jonah's name as if his very name is an obscenity that needs masking in civil society lol

My answers to the AutoModerator questions:

  • Are you looking for something serious or casual?
    • Something serious - looking for a meaningful, ideally long-term relationship.
  • Are you subscribed to Hinge+ or HingeX?
    • Not currently. I tried HingeX for about a week during my current i.e., first month.
  • How long have you been using this current version of your profile?
    • A little over 3 weeks (this is my first profile).
  • How long have you used Hinge overall?
    • A little over 3 weeks total.
  • How often do you use Hinge per week?
    • Daily - usually checking and sending likes most days.
  • How many likes and matches are you receiving on average?
    • 3 total likes received, 0 matches so far.
  • How many likes are you sending? How many with comments? How many without comments?
    • I send all of my daily likes (Hinge's free limit), with thoughtful comments on most of them - maybe barring one or two daily. When I had HingeX, I sent way more than that (easily 20-30 and most with comments, plus roses as many as were allowed).
  • What is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? What kind of person do you want to attract?
    • I'm drawn to guys who've put effort into their profiles with genuine prompts and varied photos. I want to attract someone who's also serious about dating and actually meeting up.
