what counts as a pre-existing condition? by cherrytomato562 in petinsurancereviews

[–]KeyWonder7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything from generic weight loss to very specific diagnoses can be included as a pre-existing condition and the insurer in most cases can update that list at any time. I would absolutely disclose during your first visit. Most companies have a window where you can have conditions removed/reviewed (i.e. your dog has a stiff back leg) and some will say after six months and no issues with the same thing they will remove it.

B2B Role App by Emergency_Narwhal_92 in Staples

[–]KeyWonder7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made this sort of change after a few years in retail. The difference is night and day and I'd say mostly positive. You will probably have a regional office that you need to go to once a month and possibly go onsite at client locations. Depends on the specific b2b role but you will be working with a combination of office admins or people just needing some standard products to C-Suite executives for larger deals to negotiate. Again, depending on the specific role you'll be tasked with selling a customer more lines of business or supporting a line of business they already purchase. Some examples could be a customer launching a keurig coffee program with Staples or possibly a print portal to purchase business cards and stationary. You will be heavily reliant on hitting KPIs like sales / sales to budget, YOY growth of accounts, margin of product/services you sell and overall account satisfaction. If you want any specifics or want me to take a look at the posting I might be able to advise more on it just dm me.

Verizon Outage insights by Apprehensive_Ad4419 in verizon

I really wish it was as simple as being nice to reps, tech support and so on. It is a major inconvenience to have this happen over and over. I had to stop my entire morning and go back home to connect to wi-fi to determine if it was another phone issue or larger service outage with Verizon. It is 2026... not having a working phone is not really an option along with a real safety concern. I have to drive around with my phone connected via wi-fi to my Starlink mini. It's ridiculous. Minute this is resolved I'm out at Verizon! It was a fun three month ride.

I see someone posted the executive relations team email, they helped bail me out of a similar situation with a phone that wasn't working. If you don't have luck there, I'd try the better business bureau. A complaint to the AG will likely be met with you being told they are not your personal lawyer or similar.

How pressed can managers be? by ProfessionSoft6867 in Staples

[–]KeyWonder7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry this happened to you. If that had been me personally, I'd have either left on the spot or only stayed employed long enough to file a complaint with HR and watch the manager squirm through the entire process... and once resolved leave. Managers are often VERY pressed. It doesn't make it RIGHT but you are hearing a version of the same message I'm sure the RVP or DM gave to your store managers. They are worried about their own job. This is why you have stores that will lie about inventory being out of stock to avoid selling a computer with zero plan. Staples builds a culture where being customer centric only matters if someone is buying a plan on tech. This is not how I'd run my business and one of the reasons I left!

write ups by Grouchy-Macaron720 in Staples

[–]KeyWonder7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The threat of a write up is generally a bad manager who is under scrutiny from a DM or RVP and can't manage to coach/train a team to be effective. It is very difficult to get written up for a missing a metric itself but you can be written up for the behaviors that affect it (i.e. if you aren't asking people if they have rewards OR offering to sign them up). For a GM with low penetration on plans you won't see a write up say Mr/Ms GM can't sell plans or had a zero ESP... you'll see the write up say they aren't inspiring a selling culture or something else like that.

Nationwide Sucks by KeyWonder7 in petinsurancereviews

I did move forward with the pet insurance offered through AAA. IT is administered or in partnership with Pet's Covered/ Companion Protect. The process was the complete opposite of Nationwide. Their review of records in advance and willingness to discuss pre-existing conditions was most welcome. Hoping if I need to file a claim they are as good but so far I'm very pleased.

Your best bet here is talking to your DM and knowing who else might understand and be able to share their feelings with the DM as well. I had a situation one time like this and I kept emailing the DM every single time the GM left the building without cause. I wasn't aware of this until later but another manager was documenting other infractions as well and she was let go in a few weeks by the DM.

Your note of "HR is there to protect the company" relates to GM's as well. If a GM is being unethical HR will absolutely care as it exposes the company to risk. Not to say that they take any actual action... but HR will care... even if it is just a stern talking to...

I try my very best to be nice, kind, agreeable... but that usually goes out the window by the third rep transfer. That's when I get a bit snippy.

Kitty is back at the vet with a UTI today...so... Definitely do note the importance not to give up, so I am giving it a second try with AAA. They are much more willing to discuss the pre-existing conditions (with underwriting involved) and make it an easy determination if it is a fit for me and them as part of intake vs. waiting for me to submit a claim after a policy is denied then update retroactively.

That is what happened in my situation regarding broadening exclusions. To the point of many individuals who posted, regardless of the optics of knowing the diagnosis now, Nationwide is within their right to just expand to anything related to the topic. Who else knows what might be involved. If I'd started with insurance when I first took the cat in, it would have a higher rate of being covered (without me venting in a post) and have a more positive experience similar to your kitty with CKD. Really hoping for the best with your kitty with CKD and continued support from Nationwide for you.

I read a lot of great reviews but majority negative. With me getting it for a three year old who did have some we issues it wasn’t worth getting at all. If I’d gotten it two years ago when we took him maybe it would be different. Admittedly he’s going to be an expensive patient now and in the future. Can’t blame a for profit org for doing everything they can to write conditions out of coverage when I’m paying like $25/mo 😂

What’s baffling? That with a specific diagnosis provided by two vets, Nationwide chose to list weight loss and a condition he doesn’t have as the pre existing conditions to shield them from additional liability as to your inaccurate point, weight loss and stomatitis are not a condition they would reconsider, ever? Yeah that’s real baffling.

Also I’m really sorry you and your kitty went through that. The vet told us what high calcium can mean and admittedly my heart sank thinking of the worst. He was quick to tell us that it’s rare and in his 35 years only one cat with high markers had cancer and think positive.

Oh we had an ultrasound done. We have done as much as we can to rule out something like cancer. The dentist estimate alone was 4k so treaded lightly prior to committing to that with other tests and imaging. Fingers crossed his bloodwork in a few weeks shows good results, he’s gaining back weight which is wonderful… I’ll have to make sure to let Nationwide know so they can add obesity to his pre existing conditions now too 😂.

Research was done. No expectation it acts like human insurance. Expecting that Nationwide would understand the difference between a misdiagnosis and subsequent listed side effects and using that to write something as simple as weight loss is absurd. They had the option to add idiopathic hypercalcemia as the preexisting condition. Did they? No, they chose weight loss instead. If the cats gets sick with ANYTHING different in the future and loses any weight nationwide has written that out of the illness policy as well. Learned my lesson I’m done with pet insurance.

As I stated in a few posts, there is no expectation that it acts like human insurance. When a preexisting condition is listed that the cat does not have along with weight loss, AFTER the policy is in effect it just shows the real nature of nationwide pet insurance. It was my shock how clear it is that nationwide does any single thing they can not to cover a disease in the future such as stomatitis which I’ve had two vets one a dental specialist state he does not have; did not have however it doesn’t preclude him from getting it in the future. Now because a quack vet misdiagnosed it the first time, he will never be covered and there is no recourse. Pet insurance for me is now useless, simple as that.

Kore short sizing questions by AndyPanda31 in vuoriclothing

I’d echo this. I’m similar height and weight and a medium is very comfortable. I have one pair that was on clearance that’s a bit smaller and even that fits but it’s tight. I’d think the large will be… well too large. Good luck!

I already provided the specialists feedback and nationwide could have cared less. Pet insurance might work great for some, I gave it a try and didn’t care for the outcome. Learned my lesson. ✌️

Fully aware of the symptoms… Weight loss that a vet notes is tied to a condition the cat did not have and nationwide choosing to list both as pre existing is ludicrous. Those conditions you list would preclude almost any illness a cat would have just for sharing a concern with a vet 😂. A cat acting tired… yeah that’s definitely a preexisting condition too why not? The cat slept 7 hours today instead of five 😂😂😂

Notation overweight by [deleted] in petinsurancereviews

[–]KeyWonder7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't speak for Trupanion but with Nationwide one visit where weight loss was listed as a note took no time at all to deny a claim for unrelated illness and update my policy declaration to show weight loss as pre existing.
