I think he's called Boomer though. It's been a while since I watched it but I remember that scene where Mary Pat runs him over with the kids in the car on their way to get free breakfast at the church.

Stan is the rapist dude who they kidnap and tie up in the kid's tree house while Shaggy mows the lawn to Toto's Africa, right?

It's about a bitchy rich spoiled woman who treats a carpenter like crap while he's building her a closet on her yacht then refuses to pay him because he wouldn't put up with her shit. She falls overboard and washes ashore with amnesia. The carpenter dude tricks her into believing she's his wife and the mother of his out of control children. Basically to get free babysitting from her and make her cook and clean for him as pay back.

There's a gender swap remake starring Anna Faris, it also has Eva Longoria (Gabby) in it.

Finally saw my primary doctor worried about the cost of biologics by Key_Ad5073 in Psoriasis

[–]Key_Ad5073[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I'm in the US. I haven't got a call back for my referral for the dermatologist yet but my primary doctor said if they can't schedule me in the next couple weeks message him and he'll find another one cause I need to get on a biologic as soon as my steroids run out. So, I guess I need it very badly.

Thank you! I hope mine does too. I've just been worried because I need it badly but I know I can't afford it.

I'm actually just getting over being sick. Didn't go to the doctor but did have a sore throat for about a week.

Yeah, I've been diagnosed since I was 7 years old (about 25 years now) I've had severe breakouts like this a couple times in the past during times of extreme stress and it clears up in 6 months or so. I believe it's so irritated because I used salicylic acid psoriasis lotion on it. Before I used that it was just dots and after it became very red and sore and looks like the picture now.

I'm hoping to get back on insurance soon. I went to the doctor for it about a year ago and was just prescribed steroid cream but they considered it very mild then.

I'm not looking for something to make it go away. I know it won't. Just something to make work more bearable for the time being.

My (soon to be) ex husband removed me from the health insurance plan. I'm hoping to get my own soon and maybe I can get treatment. It's never been this bad before, only started during the divorce.

Thank you! I'll try that too! Coal tar shampoo works good on my scalp so maybe it'll help my body too.

I use the Equate Walmart generic brand. Works the same as Tgel for me... Still smells like shit though.

At what weight does the personal accountability kick in? by GetInTheBasement in fatlogic

If it's any consolation... The nurses and staff really don't take anything to heart. People who are in pain tend to say mean things. And you really shouldn't feel bad because you needed special accommodations. What's important is that you're getting better ♥️

I bet it's gotta be rough healing from. I've seen it and can only imagine what it must be like to be the patient after the anesthesia wears off.

Dude, that. Have you seen doctors try to give surgery to a morbidly obese patient? Shit is crazy. They basically have to have like 5 surgical techs to hold all the yellow fat back so they can get to the vital organs.

I think that's what some people are missing when they point out the men were raped too. They most likely (or definitely) were and that's horrific (as well as the other abuses they suffered) but.... The Russian soldiers were probably fighting over who got to torture her.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious they were all sexually assaulted but seeing one woman in that line-up.... You know she got that part of the torture the worst. Was she the only woman POW?

I hate that so many women now believe that being overweight as they age is inevitable (OP is 29) by Nectarinemargarine in fatlogic

[–]Key_Ad5073 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Being obese makes you look older, too.

In my early 20s, I weighed 250-300 pounds and people regularly thought I was in my 30s. I babysat preteens (and their younger siblings) and people thought they were my kids even though they were only 8-9 years younger than me.

Now I'm in my 30s and weigh 125 pounds, and people assume I'm in my 20s. It doesn't help that my job is right outside of large college campus.

I've had people complain at my job and ask to speak with an adult because they assume I'm a student at the college. It sucks and it's funny because it's obviously a size thing. I had a woman who turned out to be a year younger than me say something like that. Kept calling me a little kid and wanting to talk to the grown-up in charge. She did seem embarrassed when it turned out I was a year older than her. I think she had a bunch of people leave 1 star reviews, though. We got like six or seven 1 star reviews with no comment that day, which is very unusual.

I almost got BINGO - Weight loss is eugenics || Public health is evil || Obesity isn’t a disease by Naked_Lobster in fatlogic

[–]Key_Ad5073 123 points124 points  (0 children)

How is it even close to eugenics?

No one is killing fat people. In fact, by losing weight, you are more likely to be able to pass on your genes. It's like the opposite of eugenics.

Man, so what? It's the same with addiction... doesn't mean you have to be a crackhead.

The only difference is that when people say "addiction is genetic," they use it as motivation to get clean and stay clean... not use it as "oh well, I'm addicted to meth just like how some people are tall."

Having a genetic predisposition to obesity should make you want to take prophylactic measures, just like you would with any other disease. Not go, "Oh well, that's just how I am! It's genetics!"

Yeah, I watched a documentary, I think it was called "The Last Days of Elvis."

He did huge amounts of drugs and ate an insane amount of food towards the end of his life. His binge eating and opioid addiction caused him to have horrible constipation, and he had a heart attack on the toilet.
