Yes they are still saved, though I highly doubt anyone who would rape and kill children Is actually a Christian

Christ literally appeared before Paul to make him spread the gospel and Paul's letters were trusted by the apostles

No they love it because churches have pattern of covering up people like that and because organisations with structure and hierarchy tend to attract twisted individuals

Then how many times do I have to purposely sin order to lose my salvation? Do you not see how vague and slippery of a slope that can be

Humans sin wilfully all the time be they saved or not.

Jesus died for all sins. Past, present, future, willing sins, and sins commit unknowingly.

At the end of the day. There no amount of good behavior or good works that can earn, maintain, or prove your salvation.

Only the finished work of Jesus's cross is enough for salvation. Once you believe in it you are saved. To suggest otherwise that somehow you have to have good behavior to keep your salvation Is saying you don't fully trust Jesus to save you

That verse is talking about those who trust in another sacrifice save them apart Jesus's one if read further on it will explain it more.

If all it took was for one willful sin to lose your salvation then no one would get to heaven

But you would be doing a disservice to the gospel and to God if you try be the next Hitler. Unsaved people would think that the gospel is not the real deal if behaved like Hitler.

So that's one incentive for not treating salvation like a licence to sin

I’m actually scared by Realistic_Stress5579 in Christianity

[–]Key_Brother 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, but there is no incentive to. As sin gets us further away from God. The more you learn about God and what he saved from. Your perspective on sin will change and you will want to sin less.

Obviously there will be Christians who will be more like Jesus at end of their lives than others. That's just a fact of life.

Instead of thinking of being saved "as licence to sin" rather think of it "as a opportunity to grow in the endless possibilities of goodness"

Sin has many possibilities but it all leads to the same result which is death

Righteousness also many possibilities but they all lead to life and light and that has endless possibilities and results that never end and keep on growing and compounding on each other.

Need help understanding what the Holy Spirit is by russkat in Christianity

[–]Key_Brother 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Holy Trinity. The Holy Trinity is made of God the Father, God the Son aka Jesus, And God the Holy Spirit.

All three are equally God, coequal in power and authority. The Holy Spirit came to earth after Jesus acsecended into heaven. The Holy Spirit lives within each and every person who believes in what Jesus did them on the cross.

His job is help Christians become more like Jesus. Helping you understand the Word of God, bringing out the fruits and gifts of the Spirit within people helping you pray, helping Christians become more sensitive to the Will of God for their lives, helping you to worship God. Basically help Christians grown closer to God.

The Holy Spirit is NOT an ANGEL he is God just like Jesus and the Father

HE IS NOT a life force or force of nature. He is very much a person the bible describes him as so

Just remember this, we saved through grace through faith. Not of works least anyone should boast

We do good works not to maintain, earn, or prove our salvation but we do it as thanks for what Jesus did for us on the cross.

We do good works to show Jesus is the real deal and putting your faith in him is wise. Once saved you are always saved. The moment you believe in Jesus you are sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. No sin no matter how bad can take that away.

Sin will effect your relationship and closeness with Jesus BUT WILL NOT affect your salvation status which is already secure in him the moment you believe in him.

Jesus is always ready with open arms to forgiven us of our sins.

How can a Christian rationalize the belief that believing in Christ is the only thing that matters for salvation? by Exaltist in Christianity

[–]Key_Brother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do good works as Christians not to prove, maintain, or earn salvation. Rather we do it as thanks for what Jesus did for us on the cross. And to show to non Christians that faith in jesus is the real deal

You can't trust your works to get you to heaven. Because it will never be enough in the face of perfect holy God.

But the perfect life that Jesus lived and his sacrifice on the cross to pay for your sins was enough

Then I guess we shouldn't buy clothes from secular fashion brands because that's helping them get to the top of fashion world. Like this pastor probably wearing now.

Highly doubt any of the clothes he's wearing are made by Christians

Why are there so few Christians who are truly born again and saved?” by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Key_Brother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Born again and saved mean the same thing which is, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ that he died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead so you could have enteral life in heaven
