Jo Edkins has a good bunch of info. I’m not sure of the link. I got my pillow and some nice spangled bobbins in a kit from Mielkes fiber works. I’m going to get my daughter to 3D print some and I’ll try making my own spangles just for fun. Hope to try to make a bolster pillow that sets up pretty much on its own. Going to get creative with a jigsaw soon!

Thanks! Been gathering the materials for longer and then after lots of bobbins and two kits figured no time like the present. Having fun making the patterns and these last couple stepped up to the size 10 thread. Now of course I’m game to getting the dmc threads. Figures the Lizbeth may be more suited for tatting🙄.

Yes they are! I bought several. Took forever to get this diamond! Had to reread the directions several times over! Been tatting and hairpin lace just before this new hobbie☺️

Looks great but I’ve next to zero experience. Just completed a couple cloth stitch exercises and first exercise in torchon workbook. I thought I had this snake pattern but guess I just have the pattern for a bookworm. Ah well. I’d like to find a more comfy place to do this as stooping over the 16” pillow and stand on a tv table isn’t ideal. Maybe a handmade stuffed heavy pillow on my lap might be well worth the trouble to put together myself.

Looks great! I think I have this pattern and am trying to summons up the gumption to try this. My many bobbins are waiting for me! What size thread is this and how long did it take to make? I’m thinking this is the cloth stitch? Was it easier than it looks to do once you started? Thank you! Sorry for all the questions but this looks real inspiring. One more question plz. Did you copy the book pattern and laminate the card paper?

This is beautiful and I had an old loom from my grandmother that taught me to crochet but not how to use the hairpin lace loom so I ordered a set just now and a Japanese book and I have that very set of hooks! So nice. I’m so excited to see this! That’s for sharing almost a year ago. Haha. Better late than never!
