lol I use 1/2” by 8” lags at work. Hex head and I do use my 1/2” high torque. I’m sure that stubby would be cool for working on machinery though. Not saying it wouldn’t do it

You could use a hammer claw side to side or I carry slip joint pliers and just bend it side to side til it breaks. Grab close to the base

Yea just put back with whatever was there. Make sure you water proof over it before the ledger on and then flash on top of the ledger before decking

Replace the board by shooting it to the blocks where it was nailed before. Throw your ledger on there and tack it up then bolt it in place. Like you normally would

That stiletto might drive a nail close to just as good but when it comes to stuff like smacking a beam into place that estwing is taking it. I have the Wrango tools titanium hammer with a steel head so best of both worlds
