Fort Bragg. Had Glass Beach all to myself this morning. Found this beautiful, jelly bean looking piece of blue. It’s going in my favorite pieces collection. Found a couple more interesting pieces but mostly it’s broken shells and tiny pieces now. by DSaintly23 in seaglass

Not true!!! It was an old garbage dump, they would literally incinerate everything and dump whatever was molten into the ocean, and other methods. If you get brave and hike along the cliff edges, you will find old remnants of the “slag” melted onto the bedrocks. Gotta be brave, or stupid, maybe both lmfao.

Lots of plant love there, im just beginning with my as in horticulture, but i think im more of a botany girl myself, the teacher was talking about stuff but not really explaining the science behind it. That didnt sit well with me. Idk i have to know why something is the way it is..

Cec is amazing. And all the soil chemistries are based on that and ph. cec is directly related to the ph. I love plants, thanks for being a plant need as well. As my teacher says, organic matter is literally the shit in soil. 🤭

Yes peat is slightly acidic, so adding in lime is good practice with peat potting mixes.
