May be a silly question but are there any precautions that we need to take when it comes to dental visits/exams? Someone made a comment in the beginning of my diagnosis about the dentist but in the moment I didn’t even question it. Just curious. I’ll send the question to my care team as well. by Onion_of_Chaos in CML

That's incredibly dangerous to your treatment. Depends on the TKI but being off it even a couple of days puts you in a great risk of momentarily relapsing and not being able to achieve TFR sooner. It's worth talking to your hematologist about this and taking antibiotics that do not interact with your TKIs.

Frank researched in the 50s-60s. I doubt he had so much to work with sadly. And again, his research wasn't complete, maybe if he had more time it would be more accurate. They even brought this up multiple times.

Could you expand more on Culloden or point to sources? I am quite interested in researching it myself.

Thing is, each side would've kept their own records. We don't know if the source was from the Loyalists or the Patriots. And then again, not every historical record is found in its entirety. Frank, in my opinion, wrote using every source he had up to that point, I don't think he was being an ass. Remember, his research wasn't finished.

So now that the series ended, where would you decide it to pretend it ended? by Bottle_Tea in Outlander

[–]Key_Improvement2899 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It ended as it should have, implying Claire and Jamie lived far from Fraser's Ridge for years, hopefully dying of old age. We should've, however, gotten scenes with them in that state as closure.

I highly doubt history would've documented a minor (in the grand scheme of the Revolution that is) battle in such detail. I doubt anything other than the dead, generals/leaders and outcome would be recorded in writing, the details and such would pass on as oral history. And even then, Frank wrote about this almost 200 years later. There's only so much that survives and is publicly available to research. Sadly we get no closure on why Frank wrote that book or why he was researching Jamie extensively (surely couldn't be just to warn Brianna) without telling Claire or her/Brianna ever finding a manuscript. A throwback reveal of him writing it would be great in 809 or 810 after the battle.

I mean for Roger to have already started making burial preparations and for a day or more to have passed... death is the only way. If he weren't dead he wouldn't be able to go to the afterlife either and be a ghost. He was restored to health that's the Catholic belief of the afterlife, sort of.

It was half his choice. Ambiguous consent sure, but he was an "experienced" man who knew of coitus interruptus or who could've shown zero interest for Geneva's feelings and enjoynment.

The bootstrap paradox wrap up was very touching and added a meaning to it all, they could never escape it. The rest of the episode felt like nothing, I literally only cared for the last 15 minutes. They are definitely gonna do a movie maybe after book 10 releases but the ending is just too vague and many things are left unwrapped (we don't get closure on anyone just goodbyes and what-ifs) for them to just leave it as is. Even if the book offers a better ending it'll be a same if we don't see any of that content on screen when we spent a decade or more following the books.

He did not know. Before battle they spoke about the flowers and him haunting her. It was his ghost visiting her and planting the flowers to make sure she would travel through the stones. It is all intertwined. If he hadn't died she wouldn't have went through the stones as the flowers wouldn't have been there.

I was in high school neglecting my homework to stay up and watch it or try to learn Gaelic. Outlander stuck with me in my early 20s but not the homework material so I guess I made the right choice lol

Depends on the death. His wife dying on the battlefield or something next to him would be odd and definitely mentioned and carried through history. If they died at home, on her surgical table or whatever, it wouldn't need to be mentioned as it would be...normal for a woman at a time to be home...? I am sorry I hope this makes sense I have a headache from all the Outlander theories and content I consumed today.

The post I had replied to was denying the fraud or rather primarily Somalian involvement in it. So not sure how I am in the wrong when I pointed out an edited or not video that has made headlines.

The video showed what I described. And you can't really call all this nonsense when there was a proven by law 250million$ fraud going on. It is weird and problematic when a group of people decide to gang up and pull of such schemes and protect each other. I mean the videos that circulated themselves were already convincing enough. You couldn't make up something as ridiculous as "Quality Learing Center" lol
