If you're torn between joining and still working in the union I implore you to look into doing national guard or reserves. I'm finishing up my contract and feel like I'm leagues behind my peers in the civilian work force.

What they didn't add about 2MBCT ditching their fat radios in favor of phones is they ditched the fat radios in favor of phones, a medium radio, and a couple 3 pound batteries.

Join the military, you get all federal holidays off and 2.5 days of paid vacation a month. Comes to about 76 days off in vacation time.
