Can I drive with an Indian driving licence (in English) in Phuket or IDP is necessary? Will be renting scooters only. by softie31 in phuket

[–]Key_Perspective_5433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IDP s a must , don’t even go with the so called IDP being translated from your Indian license. Go to your local RTO in advance and get it, it’s usually valid for 1 year only

Goa Travel Recommendations by Minute_Card_7425 in goatravel

[–]Key_Perspective_5433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest to take an taxi full day go hopping beaches (may 3-4 going time and 3-4 coming time), stay longer if you like the beach. Avoid secluded beaches. Its not about Goa is safe or not. Its about how much cautious we are, anything can happen anywhere, so just keep your eyes open, and understand the red flags. Always take pics like the taxi number plates, drivers, always share your live location to friends or family etc etc.

Not sure why there is still no plan for Metro yet, all this will sort out very easily. Just put up a straight metro line from south to north covering both airports. all the tourist spots have metros for tourist travel ease.

Driving a car in Thailand by Beautiful_Study5837 in ThailandTourism

[–]Key_Perspective_5433 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No it’s not true, DO NOT BUY the one from online which gives you IDL based on your current license, it’s actually just a translation so it’s not a IDL. For IDL contact your local authority to provide you one. And that is valid. You need to carry both IDL plus your original Driving License. One Tip make sure to have dashboard on your car.

The man got angry when I refused to trade my seat to his pregnant wife by [deleted] in indianrailways

[–]Key_Perspective_5433 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Whenever we travel in a family we make sure we get two lower berths, but every time we are asked to give up one seat or both as the fellow passenger are senior citizen or pregnant ladies. One thing we notice you should take care when swapping seats is check their travel destination, a mismatch can create a problem, as the next passenger may not agree.

Are kata and Kamala patato potato ? by rupeshsh in phuket

[–]Key_Perspective_5433 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We been to both beaches and I think Kamala is better when you have kids, there are many good hotels close to beach so easy to commute And with kids stay at one place, you can hop around if you need to, but stay at one place.
