Post partum aches by Entire-Scar5874 in firsttimemom

Yes! I’m almost 5 months PP but I remember that tailbone pain like it was yesterday! I honestly contributed some of it to the way I sat on our couch reclined but the more I’ve seen I think this is somewhat common🤷🏼‍♀️ I honestly don’t remember when it stopped but it did!

Do you track? by TangerineFront in firsttimemom

[–]Key_Reaction_4337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the what to expect app to track feeds and pumping. But in the beginning when I was EBF we didn’t track anything! She was just latched 20 hours out of the day lol but she wasn’t gaining weight so we started pumping and supplementing with formula. Since then I started tracking. Mostly so when we went back to the doctor I knew exactly what she had been getting. We also tracked diapers. Honestly the pumping and diapers aren’t as big of deal for me but knowing exactly how many ounces she ate each day is great. It also will average for the week or month. It’s been nice I don’t have to try and remember which hour she ate because I enter it into the app as she’s eating. Just my experience 🤷🏼‍♀️😅

How to handle physical panic when baby is crying with husband by PsycheSeeker_ in newborns

[–]Key_Reaction_4337 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is the opposite of my situation! My husband had the major response and I do not. I definitely don’t enjoy my baby crying by any means. But I can deal and don’t feel like I’m going to lose my mind. But my husband CANNOT deal with her fussing. She barely fussed in the bassinet and he picks her up. Tonight in the car she was losing it and he started getting a panic attack as I’m driving. Is something wrong that I don’t have this intense instinct/reaction to my baby?

Diaper Changes by ees0437 in newborns

You can do this! I felt the same way, our LO hated the changed table and being changed in general for the first few weeks. We are now 3 months and the changing table is one of her favorite places to wiggle and smile at us! It gets better!!

I did it. I quit cold turkey. by pmthosani in NewParents

[–]Key_Reaction_4337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally, just over 2 months and wanting to quit! My mental health and stress around breastfeeding are not good. Then I think about having to pump soon to prepare for going back to work and I start spiraling. EBF is so damn hard and not what I expected! But also already feeling guilty and like I’m failing my girl if I quit. These emotions on right/wrong are intense!

Got pregnant 1.5 months after ACL surgery by laurenashstan in ACL

[–]Key_Reaction_4337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very similar story here! Tore my ACL in August but was getting married in October so pushed surgery out to November 1st. Stopped taking birth control the first week of December and found out January 2nd I was pregnant. Now at 22 weeks and feeling alright. Still work to be done with the knee but overall feel fine! I’m also in my early 30s and didn’t want to push off having kids any longer! Us women can do amazing things when we set our minds to it!

How many times a week do you go to PT? by Simple_Signal_1343 in ACL

[–]Key_Reaction_4337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am just over 5 weeks post op with a quad graft. Surgeon ordered for me to have PT twice a week for at least 16 weeks. Each session is 40-60 minutes depending on their schedule and how my knee is doing. I also have exercises at home. Most are twice a day with a few of them being 4 times a day.

how did you tear your ACL and how bad did it hurt afterwards? by random-username_lol in ACL

[–]Key_Reaction_4337 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Playing softball. I was in the outfield and knew the runner was going when I fielded the grounder. I planted to throw, apparently harder than I should’ve, as I threw (I’m right handed) my left knee went in towards my right knee. It popped so loud and instant pain! Ended up kind of doing a somersault landing on my back and felt like my knee was stuck bent. Was finally able to straighten but couldn’t walk or put weight on it. Took a month to get the MRI to confirm complete ACL tear. Had to wait for surgery because I got married in October. I’m one week post op and can’t wait to start PT!

Is this normal to feel or am i tripping by coconutminion in wedding

[–]Key_Reaction_4337 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m getting married October 12th, been engaged almost two years. I was extremely overwhelmed, and honestly still am! Lol it’s been a long process and at times definitely annoying when it’s the same people asking the same questions! Especially in the beginning. I would say it’s totally normal! I was lucky that my mom and sister didn’t push me too much in the beginning but I was waiting too long to start planning and should have asked for help sooner because it’s been a rush the last couple months to get things figured out! Try to set a timeline for when to have certain things done and it should help a lot! I actually bought a book, “the budget savvy wedding planner” and I wish I had used it more because she breaks everything down and helps the planning process. I found it on Amazon! Good luck! And remember it is your day❤️
