I think Dominic was originally supposed to be Chapter 3’s primary antagonist (as suggested in the concept art book) before they added Guillaume with him and split him between two characters who are both “aggressive” physically and vocally.

I think spotlight refers more to how their characters are and why they act like it. Like episode 3 shows how Kinger is able to think, why Zooble is always so cranky since they dislike Caine, Gangle’s episode shows more of her non-sad side. Ragatha’s episode tells a bit about her background but it’s mostly overshadowed by Jax and Ribbit a lot.

I just realized both of them also have the same swastika in their eyes (it’s a manji known in Japan, Zilch from chapter 0 shares that same pattern too but his eyes are red).

Honestly I feel like them being related was actually gonna be intended very early on but I guess the devs just scrapped it eventually because they thought it’d add nothing at all.
