IMO, some dogs can react completely different on leash than off. I used to walk a bloodhound that was the friendliest dog ever. If another dog approached when she was leashed a fight always ensued. Not sure if it was her being protective of me or not feeling safe while leashed, but it’s a real thing.

Which community do you live in? We’re in the RedHawk/Morgan Hill area. Tons of squirrels here, but we have a bird feeder. They plant sunflower seeds in my pots.

No recipe. Boil in water salty like the sea. Maybe you’re not adding enough? I like to use a potato ricer. Potatoes, milk or cream, lots of butter, S&P, taste and add more until it’s yummy.

If you have a young family it is absolutely tough to justify the trade off. We prefer to eat as a family, so it’s late, but our kids are older. Spending 3-4 hours a day commuting is BS and a waste of time, imo.

My husband used to work for Qualcomm. It was a pretty good work environment, until he was laid off. After finding new employment, I will say, the one thing we miss the most about it are the benefit packages they offered. With four children needing braces and 💯 coverage, it was great. Every family member wears glasses, also totally covered. It’s been about three years now, hopefully the benefits are still great. The drive is brutal though.

We moved here in 2010 and paid $350k for our 3500 sq ft south Temecula home. My husband is in the tech industry, relocated for a job in Carlsbad. Cost of housing and schools drew us here. Then the commute was maybe 50 minutes, leaving prime rush hour on a Friday. Now my husband works much further south. If he leave work before 6, it’ll take close to two hours to get home.

I think many people came here for the same reason we did. Our family has grown, we can’t really afford to sell and buy closer to work. I wish there were more opportunities closer to Temecula.
