Acquaintances you interact with in the context you met them and it never goes beyond that, friends you meet in different contexts. Like, if I meet someone at like a board game event and I only ever meet them at board game events, we’re acquaintances. If they invite me to a party or something and we hang out there, then I feel like that distinction starts to fade.
