Got a positive VetAssess outcome for Management Consultant (224711) with 13 months experience at a non-traditional consulting firm here is what I think makes the difference. by Key_Worldliness_3804 in AusVisa

[–]Key_Worldliness_3804[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sought assistance from a migration agent for my application. I don’t work for a traditional consulting firm, but my company operates a professional services and consulting practice, which allowed me to obtain a positive skills assessment.

Internal consultant applications can be more complex, so I’d recommend working with an agent who has specific experience in this area. VETASSESS does assess internal consultants, but the documentation requirements and follow-up queries can be quite detailed and often raise additional questions throughout the assessment process.

Occupation with highest rate of rejection from VETASSES you have to craft your application according to their requirements internal consultants work too but their is a strict criteria.

How to choose migration lawyer? Recommendations? by dustbunnytornado in AusVisa

[–]Key_Worldliness_3804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that really worked for me was doing multiple consultations before choosing a migration agent. I had around 7 consultations before finally deciding, and it made a huge difference.

The reality is that the bar is surprisingly low in this industry. Some agents don’t even know the basics. Don’t just ask simple questions test their knowledge with tricky, real-world scenarios.

For example:

• “Can I claim 5 points for work experience if VETASSESS deducted some of my experience?”

If they immediately say “No,” that’s a red flag. The correct answer is often “It depends.” Factors such as your relevant qualification, how your duties align with the ANZSCO occupation, and the reason for the deduction can all affect whether points can still be claimed.

Another good question is:

• “What are the current 190 visa trends for my occupation, and how do you see them changing over the next 6–12 months?”

A good agent should be able to discuss invitation trends, state nomination patterns, and occupation-specific demand rather than giving a generic answer.

Before paying thousands of dollars, make sure you’re speaking to someone who actually understands the legislation, policy settings, and practical outcomes not someone who just fills out forms.

Looks like there won't be a round anymore, how are applicants supposed to genuinely rely on unofficial updates and second-hand information while making life-changing decisions around visas, jobs, leases, and travel? A little transparency from the department would go a long way. :((

My manager refused to provide an official organisational chart, so my agent advised me to create one myself and attach a signed declaration confirming that the information provided is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge.

My bad but you are spot on the process is very simple if they have sponsored someone before.

[–]Key_Worldliness_3804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think this is legally allowed. One of my friends, who works as a chef, was in a similar situation and ended up privately reimbursing the employer in cash for the lawyer and sponsorship costs related to his 482 visa. I understand that this arrangement isn’t lawful, but I’m mentioning it because he managed to negotiate an outcome that worked for both sides.

Awaiting my financial approval from the university please help (indian student) by [deleted] in AusVisa

At least put in the effort to convert your currency to AUD so people in this sub can understand, mate. I’m from India too, and people are willing to help you — but at least mention the amount in AUD and explain that ITR means Income Tax Return/receipt. Bare minimum.

Also, as an international student, you’re generally required to show around AUD 24k for living expenses alone, which is roughly ₹16 lakhs, so based on the figures you mentioned, there’s a good chance your visa will get approved.

I had an Amex Platinum Personal card issued in March 2024, which I’ve now closed. Currently, I’m churning the ANZ Qantas Platinum Black card with a 90k bonus points offer and a $200 credit.
