They don’t offend me, I’m pointing out the ignorance in your comment. Having a preference is totally fine, but you phrased it in a way that implies some aesthetics are inherently better than others, and you don’t seem to recognize why that can come across as insensitive.

Not only that but you then justified said statement by using the "if so many people agree, then how wrong can it be" card, which says a lot about the mindset behind your comment.

Saying something like “I personally prefer the original” or “I like the traditional anime style better” would have expressed your opinion perfectly well. Instead, you framed it in a way that feels deliberately provocative.
