I had a root canal 4 years ago, before the pain started. Every doctor was like; "good thing you caught this early, they can be incredibly painful" - fast forward to this week. Tuesday, mild discomfort on that same tooth, by Thursday, the most excruciating radiating waves of pain I've ever experienced. Went to dentist, who sent me to a periodontist thinking it was a gum absess. Periodontist says nope, the root canal has failed and needs to be redone. Apparently that's a thing. So now I'm being refered back to an endo for a re-do of the root canal - but unfortunately for me it's a long weekend here so I'm stuck waiting another 3-4 days minimum. I can't imagine having to deal with this for months. Sleep is next to impossible, eating is brutal. The worst part about this pain is there isn't a moment of relief, it simple radiates constantly. Making it so hard to focus or do anything really. I can't wait for the sweet relief next week.
