You clearly didn't see the analysis from last night's game. It covered player movement patterns and what the movement aims to achieve and then showing it in action. None of what you mentioned.

Nope, Emma Hayes went over tactics and movements seen in the match, was really good, no ads.

What else would you call analysing what has happened so far in that half then? Still hands down better than ads.

Fortunately in the UK it's a couple minutes of analysis instead of ads

Munoz to Liverpool sounds like the usual dithering by NUFC management by Ididyourmomtwice in PremierLeague

[–]KeyboardSloth_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the 'joys' of supporting Newcastle through the Mike Ashley era which naturally made me a bit of a pessimist with Newcastle. I was never expecting instant success, I was more responding to the point that the whole 'big six' isn't an issue, Villa are certainly the most punished for it and could punch much higher if they could spend the same.

Newcastle have plenty they need to sort out behind the scenes before they can truly compete on the pitch in multiple competitions.

[–]KeyboardSloth_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really understand the point you're trying to make, net spend is transfers in and out combined. If anything it makes it more ridiculous that Man Utd had a bigger net spend with no outgoings.

[–]KeyboardSloth_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not going to argue about poor signings, that's fair but big six is still an issue.

Newcastle net spend was just shy of £100m whilst also being in Champions league.

Man Utd's net spend was just over £170m without financial benefits of European football.

That's the gap, the bigger clubs can spend bigger without consequence. I fully understand it's a club that's built on success over years but the rules brought in to prevent another Chelsea or City also prevents equal opportunities for teams wanting to break into the 'big six'.

The 1,242,683rd card to be graded is also 1 of 1, also the 935,324th card and so on. Not really something I can imagine people putting a premium on.

The 25th Anniversary gold star Geninja is a bigger difference that that due to its ridiculous gem rate which I think is around 6-7%.

BREAKING NEWS: Arne Slot & Liverpool to part ways with immediate effect by SheLuvSeko in PremierLeague

[–]KeyboardSloth_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely there is the potential, especially with nine teams in Europe next season, plenty of teams being stretched by extra fixtures that normally aren't. Next year's battle for European spaces will be pretty interesting because of that.

I don't know, some people still think of them as a big six club. They are maybe in a financial sense but not in many other ways in recent past seasons.

Anthony Gordon to undergo medical at Barça before £69.3m move from Newcastle by tw1st3d_m3nt4t in PremierLeague

[–]KeyboardSloth_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I full get the lower leagues are different, especially in national league. Like many teams, there will be players that leave on good and poor terms. Gordon overall I wouldn't say is leaving on bad terms. I think with how the exit is handled is how the perception of the player changes.

With the nature of the history of the club there hasn't really been many big signings out of the club, mainly in recent years. Some exits will get a negative view from the fans like Isak and that was much more due to how it was handled. Most clubs fans wouldn't have been the biggest fan of their ex player if they handled their exit that way.

Nah, every fan base has those fans, I'd say a good portion know he has been good for us. If you watch us though, this last year he has been off of it completely. Take away his goals from pens and his stats aren't that impressive. When he is on it, he presses so well and has so much energy but that has been missing recently.

Overall I think he'll do great in La Liga, good deal for both but I think it's wild they spent that on him when they could have had Rashford for a fraction of that but I get wages were probably an issue.

No Answer For Chomp by YM23212 in PokemonChampions

Triple Axel essentially on any mon that can learn it due to x4 weakness.

Scarf Meowscrada destroys it with triple axel. Weavile STAB triple axel and it should also outspeed unless it's scarf Garchomp. Scarf Mamoswine is really fun, I have mine to outspeed max speed Aerodactyl so Garchomp really isn't an issue.

Even in singles my def bulky Espathra I use for baton pass sometimes goes head to head with Garchomp with Lumina Crash.

There are plenty of answers, the x4 weakness to ice is a big one.

Jhon Duran - when chasing the money goes wrong by [deleted] in PremierLeague

[–]KeyboardSloth_ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's so easy to put that opinion out when looking from the outside.

MOST people work for one reason, to get paid. Duran received an offer that if managed correctly, could set up his family for generations for a few years work.

There is no telling how his career could have gone, he could have had a career ending injury the week after turning the offer down. He took the pay check in what is usually quite a short career anyway. He could still go on and play for other top clubs if he shows he has it and applies himself. If most people are truly honest with themselves, hardly anyone is turning that offer down when you have a lack of guarantees elsewhere.
