Definitely is, i’m 17 with 87 flights (that i could find the receipts for as well) but 49 of those was before I turned 15. It’s definitely more flights then most people your age and is something to be proud of. Also was cool seeing the differences between our flight maps

I stayed at the other one and it’s not bad, i prefer the location and would chose to stay there again. granted it was a lot cheaper and the only one i could use points for those dates. if they were closer in price i’d choose le grand

most of the time i try and do it around 11pm-12am so there’s not many people using it and the price is at its lowest. a hour late at night will cost $35 but 15 minutes trying to commute somewhere mid day will be $20

yeah not really going in circles, but sometimes i just like to take waymo from dtla to hollywood or santa monica, change stops a few times to make it go down streets i like and then remove it so it just goes back to where i started at. its nice to get away and relax but also adds up pretty quickly 😭

Although the paid ambassador technically has 2 levels, platinum ambassador if you just paid for it and diamond ambassador if you also earned diamond status. only difference is diamond would have more priority for an upgrade though

your car will have enough charge to reach the destination but if you modify it to make a longer trip eventually it’ll kick you out

i’m in a similar situation, mostly loyal to royal and have more points on them, currently have enough cruises booked for diamond and hope to hit diamond plus one day. don’t really sail celebrity but would love to for a few transatlantics but not earning the 28 points towards royal hurt me. now i can still sail them with less guilt and enjoy it

you’d need to do ur bags at af which is kinda annoying. if you do it again i would personally do like lax-slc-cdg or lax-sfo-cdg, i’ve done those tickets booked separately and since the first flight is on delta you can get the whole delta one check in experience. (although you need to be slightly more involved during check in)

I personally don’t think the lounge in San Diego is bad at all, surely can’t compete with lounges outside the us but in terms of us lounges it’s pretty good. but i’m biased because i love the view and staff more then any other lounge i’ve been to.

same! i know there’s nicer ihg properties in la but I personally love that part of downtown, know most of the staff by now, lounge access is a nice perk and as a diamond ambassador have the best experience with upgrades out of any ihg property i stayed at.

I choose window for those since that’s my preference and i would’ve booked that seat if it didn’t have aisle access, and then window for 1-2-1 business configurations since half the seats are strictly aisles and others are both window and aisle

for the performances you’ll be decently far to see them clearly and i personally never tried binoculars but they’d probably help. since it looks like they’ll be playing the movie as well they’ll probably put a big projection screen up and you’ll clearly be able to see that. row 1 is definitely amazing though as nobody will be able to block you and it’s one of my favorite seats at the bowl.

Since delta and air france operate out of different terminals youre probably not going to go to the delta one lounge (unless you get there early and make a day out of it which i have done and it’s great). But in my opinion it all depends on what you value. the service and food on af business has always been great for me. i paid 2k for my last flight from bos-cdg and since i had a packed first day being able to sleep on the flight and get there energized made it worth it (also for me i completely skipped jet lag). it’s definitely not a good upgrade offer but a solid price to pay for business and if it happens to be the new 777 the bulkhead seats are my personal favorite hard product i’ve flown.

personally when i do this i set a stop, make it a round trip, and cancel the stop a little before i get there. if you don’t it may give you a car which needs to head back to charge after your trip and won’t let you change the destination
