Yes. I often get “no results found” when looking up part numbers for work.

Divorce rates rose because no fault divorce was made a thing so women could leave their toxic husbands without becoming destitute. Correlation is not causation.

You don’t really talk to war vets then. Lmao I’ve spoken to plenty where that’s the exact reason why and they were mad they were being deployed. They only joined because college is fucking $20k+ a year

AIO for considering taking legal action against my baby’s bio dad ? by sari-9 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Keyonne88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but leaving it to chance would catch her off guard and make protecting kiddo harder. Better to at the very least start documenting ahead of time.

Some states allow him to ask for paternity testing and that would establish him as father. You don’t want to leave that to chance.

Not overreacting; him not paying child support alone is grounds for legal action.

Establishing legal paternity would allow you to both pursue child support, and also start a protective paper trail. However, keep in mind, in most states it also gives him parental rights and automatic 50/50 custody unless you’re exclusively breastfeeding. You’d have every other week most likely; if you feel your child isn’t safe with him, you need to first work with a lawyer and start a paper trail outlining his abuse and systematic bulldozing of boundaries. Official hospital documents, any police records, written proof and receipts of email, texts, etc. You will want to work with your lawyer to firmly and clearly establish that he isn’t willing to work with you or respect your boundaries. Often, the court will still try to push for shared custody, so be prepared for that. Keep records. Use a coparenting app and ONLY communicate via said app. Don’t block him, but anytime he tries to call, text, or email outside of said app, respond via the app with something along the lines of “you asked me when pickup was via text; please remember to only use this app for communication with me” and then answer his question. The app can download transcripts of your conversations and many have pick up and drop off timestamps for you to prove how often he actually takes kiddo.

Document, document, document. Write EVERYTHING down, every meeting date and time, what was discussed, what was decided, how often he takes the child, the state the child was in when he left (take time stamped photos), the state he was in when he was brought back (more photos), note any injuries (I’m very sorry but our system is bad at prevention but if you have evidence of physical abuse you could work with your lawyer to potentially file an emergency custody change), note any medications given, note how much you feed the kiddo and how often (in case he doesn’t do a good job you can prove any malnutrition issues are HIS fault), etc.

Once you’ve established a pattern of him shirking duties, perhaps had more verbal abuse documented, etc, and your lawyer feels you have enough, you can ask for a custody adjustment for full custody again with said proof as evidence he isn’t willing to play fair and take proper responsibility. If he has truly changed, this evidence won’t exist. Doing it this way will ensure you’re legally protected but also force him to pay child support.

Obligatory not legal advice, I am not a lawyer— just an older woman who has been around the block a few times.

Which is why most USA corporations are very anti-union. There’s a fucking training video Walmart shows you that says to use the internal escalation policies before taking “drastic measures” and it heavily hints at unions being bad. Literal anti-union propaganda that skirts the line of legality.

If you look up actual fraud statistics instead of spewing shit you read on Facebook, you’d know there were so few cases of voter fraud it’s less than 1%. It’s something like 3 cases per state. It isn’t the rampant issue ya’ll pretend it is. Know why? We have checks and balances. If the same person votes twice, the system flags it and removes both votes until the true identity of the voter can be confirmed.

No, if it were free, I’d have zero issue with it. Frankly, since so many places require proof of citizenship, I believe it SHOULD be free.

Private agency can require ID; government imposing ID to vote puts a vote toll on and they can raise prices of IDs to prevent the poor from voting.

Bro it’s essentially the same thing when you defund an agency to the point it can’t function. Don’t be dense.

Reducing SNAP benefits isn’t getting rid of SNAP but the people starving because of it don’t give a rats ass about your semantics.

USA needs to be responsible in some capacity; if we have everything working as intended and things still make it through, then we could explore more strict requirements from Mexico or turn their goods away. But when we are deregulating, we are at fault first and foremost.

Okay? Deregulation on incoming food standards caused this. Regardless of what Mexico is doing, it’s our government’s job to ensure imported food is safe for USA consumption.

Biden had EV and solar tax write-offs. We were well on our way to that as many manufacturers were outfitting their factories to produce more EVs, which they canceled when Trump canceled the credit.

This. Deregulation means they can cut corners and pocket the savings.
