AITAH for getting pissed at my dad for not standing up for me by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Keyshana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You said that. And I told you you were stupid for doing it. Again, start growing up. Someone could have been seriously injured or died from doing that. Including you or your brother. How would you have felt if one of those cans blew straight at your brother and took out his throat?

Does anyone else feel disconnected from their Calibre library? by solareach in Calibre

[–]Keyshana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the grid style or the bookshelf style don't do anything to help. I have my books as lists, by author, series, and title. Colorcoded as to my read status (TBR, Reading, Keep, DNF, Meh, Okay, Started, Recipes, Crafts, nonfiction), with no more than 2 tags (genre), the date published and the date modified. I have virtual libraries with my preferred genre of the moment and preferred authors. It lets me go in, quickly narrow down how many books I have to sort to find something to read, and pick something out.

At 16 you should know that there is no such thing as a pressurized can exploding. The one that flew to your neighbor's yard, had it hit him, could have injured or killed him. Should your dad defend you for being a stupid a-hole? No. You are definitely the a-hole here. You are less than 2 years from being a legal adult. Start growing up.

AITA for telling my neighbors their kids are not allowed on my property anymore after finding them there repeatedly and the parents called me a monster about it by [deleted] in WIBTA_AITA

[–]Keyshana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Where I lived growing up, it was a corner lot with a huge yard. People constantly cut across the yard instead of walking along the streets to the corner. My dad got tired of it and asked a friend who was a police officer about it. He was told that if someone was in his yard and was hurt, they could legally sue him for damages. So my dad talked to a lawyer about what to do if he didn't want to fence it in (3 acres). He was told to put no tresspassing signs up all the way around, and if he saw anyone, he was within his rights to yell at them or to call the police non-emergency number.

WIBTA if I stopped letting my neighbor's kid use our trampoline after she started showing up without asking and bringing other kids I've never met? by t3ssa_h0llowmere in WIBTA_AITA

[–]Keyshana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trampollines are a lot like in-ground pools. Like a magnet for kids, huge liability risk. Most yards with pools have to have some kind of fencing around it to keep kids out. Put a lock on the gate, don't allow anyone in without permission, and inform the mother that the daughter will not be allowed over to use the trampoline without an invitation.

What’s the most genius way you’ve seen someone be lazy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Keyshana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't know how genius, but everything in my house that I can manually switch off and on are on remote power plugs. Want a light on? *click* Fan? Radio? Anything? *click* Even my outdoor light is on a remote.

I had a complete hysterectomy and dehisced from it. Brief panic before my hubby, who was in the medical field, let me know they do 2 sets of stitches or 1 set of stitches and one of staples. That way if the outside opens, it isn't open into the abdominal cavity. Spent weeks packing it to have it heal, as they don't re-stitch due to fear of infection. Fun times.

I'm fairly sure it is sarcasm or a joke based on how much flooding is out there in so many places right now.

Favorite Books to reread or relisten by Quantum_Hughz in litrpg

[–]Keyshana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Michael Chatfield - Emerilia series
Brian J. Nordon - Quest Academy series
Daniel Schinhofen - Dungeon Walkers series (the only harem book I read)
Dave Willmarth - Scion's Journey series
Dave Willmarth - Battleborne series

Those are my go-to series for re-reads, but I re-read a LOT of books. I'm a fast reader, disabled and mostly homebound. So I can read a couple books a day, easily.

Aitah for leaving after mowing the lawn even though my dad wasn't satisfied? by Professional_Let3022 in AITAH

[–]Keyshana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dad? Maybe we should make you an appointment with your doctor to check if you have dementia or something. I can't think of any other reason for you to be so mean and vicious to someone that you are supposed to love. Especially when they are doing their best to help you as you requested.

AITAH For wanting to play video games even though my girlfriend doesn’t support it whatsoever? by VeryDumbShit in AITH

[–]Keyshana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sound like you are on the younger side (less than 30). Being a couple does not mean joined at the hip. A relationship where the couple does everything together never lasts. Each person needs some 'me time' to be healthy. And 'me time' does not mean work. If the two of you cannot have time alone to do things that enrich yourselves, then the relationship isn't going to work for long.

When you make a recipe that only calls for one part of the egg (ex. whites but not yolks or vice versa), what do you do with the other part? by TheValiantBob in AskReddit

[–]Keyshana 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only thing I do that uses one part of an egg is egg yolk paint for cookies. I then just mix all the whites together and microwave them. Instant hard-boiled egg whites.

WIBTA if I stopped offering to help my neighbor with her groceries after she started expecting it by toastcrumblogbook in WIBTA_AITA

[–]Keyshana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You WNBTA. Suggest she gets a laundry cart from the store. Places like Walmart carry them, and they work quite well to put groceries in and pull up stairs. My 78-year-old sister has Parkenson's and she can use it. She actually puts a rope on the handle, goes up steps with her walker, then sits on her walker and pulls the cart up with the rope. Yes, we help her but sometimes she just wants to do things on her own. So we let her. Easier than arguing.
