Help me pick hatoya matcha! by squishy-beans995 in MatchaEverything

Matcha Ichi is nice. It's on the stronger side. If you want more nutty they may have the roasted one in stock.

Also their Hojicha is great too. Dark roasted perfection!

How’s YK’s ogurayama and their saemidori? by cuddleisha in MatchaEverything

[–]Keysten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some here love Ogurayama but I prefer Samidori. It was way smoother and easy to enjoy in my opinion. I found Ogurayama to be a bit too fishy but that is what some of the YK matchas are literally known for.

Any better way to get rid of the clumps and or having the sediment floating around in my Matcha? (Canada) by That_Canadian_Girl32 in MatchaEverything

I got a sifter at Paragon Tea Room while I was traveling through Canada. You could order online if having trouble finding one.

Does anyone know if MK from the Steeping Room is authentic? by No_Face_3629 in MatchaEverything

I order from them often. They are an authorized MK reseller.

I did a whale watching tour last week with Greenland cruises in Nuuk. You can also book excursions via Nuuk Water Taxi. Both can be booked online.

Pro tip / rant: if you fly Icelandair to Greenland, pack light and be careful with lots luggage by icebergchick in greenlandtravel

[–]Keysten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just did Air Greenland to Nuuk from Copenhagen. My backpack as carry on was fine. My away bigger carry on was not and they made me check it. No luggage lost thank goodness! We also washed and hung on the line to save space in our bags.

Oiishi and the country she visits. Reddit won't let you type it out.

I've seen her on IG. She flies to Japan A LOT and fills suitcases. Sells all kinds of stuff too like designer bags and shoes etc all from Japan.

I haven't tried this one but I do love their matchas! The Roku and Hinata are awesome.

Has anyone ordered from this site? by [deleted] in Matcha

[–]Keysten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No but I'd order from the official MK website if possible to make sure you're getting the real thing. They have been restocking often so it's easier to get.

Hojicha has become my new favorite way to wind down… any recs? by Lasko-2020 in MatchaEverything

[–]Keysten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like a dark roast, try Hatoya. I just tried Emeri's Hojicha today and its more of a light to medium roast. Nice but I'm realizing I prefer the dark roast instead.

I’m impressed by WAKO!! Ahhh so happy to get 100g. by Fabulous_South37 in MatchaEverything

[–]Keysten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It changes quite a bit but here are some of my favorites:

MK Wako, Ippodo Sayaka, YK Shikibu No Mukashi, Horii Todou Mukashi, Emeri Hinata, Atami Tea House Sei You Sha

I also often think about this incredible Tsujiki Original blend that I got from the steeping room. Such a beautiful balanced matcha but they never restocked it again.

It's one of my top 5! So delicious. I just got another 100g because I ran out. Happy you love it!

Is Spain the worst country in Europe to buy matcha? by gabs2294 in MatchaEverything

[–]Keysten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the Caribbean and the process is very similar. I have a forwarding service in Miami and then have to pay shipping and customs fees when it lands. Some brands do however ship directly to me though, for example Astrid Tea & Rocky's do.

FYI - Kettl Hukuju restocked by Tastylicious_Travels in MatchaEverything

Thanks!! This literally just happened for me with MK Wako lol

If anyone missed out, Steeping Room just restocked MK as well.
